I posted about this in the update feedback thread but there's so much ranting in there about the status point items I figured it might be missed so...

The appearance tab is great! However, I have noticed that if you don't select your regular inventory tab before closing the inventory window, anything you click on to equip that fits one of the appearance slots goes into them instead of your regular inventory slots. This is a problem when you have items hotkeyed to equip on the fly, and was a hard lesson learned in midfall while trying to equip a featherfall item. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img src=" width="15" height="15" />

It would be nice to have the option to inspect someone's appearance items. I know there are lots of us running around now who see something that looks really awesome and we want to know what it is, but if you inspect someone currently it shows only regular inventory items.

Storage is an issue with this change. A complete change of outfit takes up eight slots of storage and most items are attuned. I already have tons of attuned/no trade items in my bank and vault because I can't place all my quest rewards in my house due to the item limit, and I don't want to destroy things I can't get again. I would suggest either more bank slots be added or perhaps let us buy (or carpenters could make) a container house item "wardrobe" for us to store extra armor in.

Woohoo! Now I don't have to bug people about what they are wearing and the PVPers that were upset about being "sandbagged" should be happy too.

BTW, anyone else notice that sometimes you have to stand practically on top of someone to inspect them? Or perhaps this is just server lag.....

Any word on a possible fix for the inventory tab/hotkey problem? I'm hoping this will be fixed to default to the general inventory tab automatically when you close the window.

Thanks for the feedback! Both issues, should be addressed in the next hotfix.

Since it's on the Dev tracker, this looks like a good thread to bring up another suggestion that's been floating around the forums. Is there any chance of opening up a charm fluff slot so we can use torches?

I see this one is coming in a hotfix ~ I'd like to restrict other players from seeing exactly what I'm wearing.

I would like the ability to equip items to the Appearance slots (and unequip them) via macros.Powers &8^]

Torches really do add to the atmosphere.

My guess is appearance slots will soon be getting new slot ID numbers to help with macros. If it isn't on the schedule, it should be.Instead of appearance slots of shields/weapons, I would rather see a toggle to turn on and off like headgear and capes.I don't think people should be able to put in appearance items for shields/weapons.

While we're looking at all these other suggestions, I'd like to throw in a couple more. They aren't about the appearance tab itself, but they are directly related.

A lot of people sold their old AQ armor because they saw no point in keeping it around. My warlock sold hers to save on inventory and bank space (not that dooky brown robes are attractive, but the rest of the set was nice looking). Already, the AQ sets cannot be transmuted.

Would there be any harm in allowing the AQ "assistants" to sell us back our AQ armor?

Also, there was a change a while back to reduce clutter when people buy things from the merchants/venders. They now sell just the stuff we can use and don't show any really grey items. There are a few vender-purchased armors that are difficult to find in the game but can no longer be purchased because some of them are significantly lower than our current level. For example, my monk would love to get her hands on the vender-purchased woven etched leather. It's bright red & green and perfect for Frostfell. Unfortunately, she's level 70 and can't purchase it. When she goes to a tailor vender, it only shows T7 armor no matter which vender she goes to except the ones in the villages.

Is there any way to remove the restriction which doesn't allow us to see and purchase grey items from armorer/tailor venders?

As another suggestion, it would be nice to have the option to have NOTHING show in certain slots. For example, my character has lovely shoulder tattooes which i would like to be visible, so i would like for no armor to show in the shoulder slot. Rather than having the two existing options to hide helm and hide cloak, would be nice to have this an option on all slots on the appearance tab.

Arieste, I agree that the option to show nothing would be nice. While you wait though, try on the different shoulder items named "shawl". Some of them gives the graphic appearance of being without shoulders, and the tattoos can then be visible if you put the shawl in the appearance slot.
