View Full Version : Anyone else having problems patching after LU 38?

I have been trying to DL the patch after the update, and all I get is the analyzing update, then nothing.  Kirsten mentioned to contact tech support....where do you find tech support?  GRRRR pretty frustrating.

For some reason no one is responding, but yes I'm hvaing the same problem.

Been fighting the issue for 4 hours now...download keeps cancelling while trying to download "SoF_Dread.mp3".  Contacted tech support and ended up having to send them an email with a bazillion bits of info...and still not working.

Yeah I can't get past a file in patcher either..

Make sure all versions of Spyware, Antivirus and Firewalls (to include the Windows Security Center) are turned off while patching - after update completed you can turn them back on.  For some reason, the cause the patcher to be interrupted and cancel the download.

As always. Make sure if you have windows vista that you are running it as an administrator. I read that this problem was due to a bug with the launcher. Should be fixed now. Is it working for you guys?

<p><span style="font-size: small;color: #cc0066;font-family: arial black,avant garde;">Seems that my issue (on XP pro, just btw) was my drive was too fragmented--and I was only @ 14% or something...just enough to get the message that I *should* take care of it.  I defrag'd it and it seems to be downloading fine now.  Finally got frustrated and went to the support site & poked around in the "troubleshoot patcher" section.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: small;color: #cc0066;font-family: arial black,avant garde;"> Good luck all!!</span></p>
