Well it appears that my wife was right. You can attract more flies and or bees with honey. I have had a long PM session with Gnobrin and with his permision I will place our conversation here. It is not a perfect fix to the problem but at least we have a step in the right direction for us.From: KaharthemadTo: GnobrinDate: 09/10/2007 08:01:14Subject: Updates and ChangesI am sending this in as a plea for the mysticclasses. We had in the pach notes for 37 that our pet would be listedas a 1 down pet instead of a 3 down if we went down the aa Weaponsmastery line. as well as the status ward line's effectiveness beingreduced when in all actuality it was supposed to be increased. Before and after 37 went live we did feeedback stating this was not the case.Afternumerous feedbacks from myself as well as the mystic community at largewe have found our requests are either falling thru the cracks orfalling on deaf ears. We are only asking that someone takes a look atthis and lets us know if a fix will be coming soon for it.From the Mystic Community...Macabrat Myopia. The Blind Healing Rat. "If I don't see you I cant be blamed for not healing you'______________________________________________ __________From: GnobrinTo: KaharthemadDate: 09/10/2007 11:16:58Subject: Re:Updates and ChangesThanks for the information, Kaharthemad! Please do note though that community folks (Grimwell as well as myself)are not part of the development staff, and have no means to make suchchanges to the game nor your gameplay. If you have such issue, pleaseensure that you're voicing that to the appropriate abilities forums, sothe development staff can see that issue so it may then be corrected,if that's not as intentionally designed at this time. ~Gnobrin!------Aaron "Gnobrin Gearbender" BisnettCommunity Relations RepresentativeSony Online Entertainment_____________________________________ __________________________________From: KaharthemadTo: GnobrinDate: 09/10/2007 13:47:48Subject: Re:Re:Updates and Changeswe have, quite a bit. and nothing has beendone. All we are wanting is a word from the devs or heck I think wewould be happy with a word that you will forward it on to someone whocan help. From: GnobrinTo: KaharthemadDate: 09/10/2007 14:26:18Subject: Re:Re:Re:Updates and ChangesSadly Kaharthemad, that is indeed all that Ican offer you, to forward that to the development leads. To myknowledge, there is no one person that can assist in such a change,it'd be many on the development team, and something that may thentrigger the changes of MANY other things, hence the hold on the changein the firstplace (if it's not as intentionally designed at thistime). I shall be happy to forward that to the leads, but I can not offer you any promise that it'll lead to any possible change. ~Gnobrin!_________________________________ ___________________________From: KaharthemadTo: GnobrinDate: 09/10/2007 18:16:47Subject: Re:Re:Re:Re:Updates and ChangesThats all I can ask. and if you dont mind Iwould like to post this on the Mystic forum as a few of them aregetting out pitchforks and torches to storm the castle____________________________________________ __________________________From: GnobrinTo: KaharthemadDate: 09/11/2007 10:46:50Subject: Re:Re:Re:Re:Re:Updates and ChangesGo right on ahead and post that reply I'dgiven you. Seriously, as a community person, I can't make changes andsome of the folks that make such changes to the game are easier to giveinfo to via the forums (Some of them read the forums religiously). Donote though, simply because they haven't altered your class does notmean that it's not on the board to be at some later time. There's GU38 coming as well as an entire expansion that's taking 98% of theteam's energy, the direction to make class changes may simply not bethere, to ensure that the current projects can get completed in thetime allotted. ~Gnobrin._______________________________ _____________________________________From: KaharthemadTo: GnobrinDate: 09/11/2007 11:05:21Subject: Re:Re:Re:Re:Re:Re:Updates and ChangesI understand that. However we have had 19pages of Mystics asking why the lu37 patch that specifies these fixeswere never implemented. And it is true we understand you dont have anycontrol however what we as a community would like to see is for a devto come on and say "Hey we know the concerns and we are looking intoit" or "we are postponing it until further notice while we look at someproblems that arose during the patch." I realize thatKunark has taken alot of concentration, but jsut a little informationin the LU37 Feedback page (which has gone on for 19 plus pages withoutdev reply) or in some other area can help with all the animositytowards them. ____________________________________________ _____________________________From: GnobrinTo: KaharthemadDate: 09/11/2007 11:10:21Subject: Re:Re:Re:Re:Re:Re:Re:Updates and ChangesWhere is the LU37 feedback thread located, exactly? I am coming up empty... ------Aaron "Gnobrin Gearbender" BisnettCommunity Relations RepresentativeSony Online Entertainment_____________________________________ _______________From: KaharthemadTo: GnobrinDate: 09/12/2007 05:36:45Subject: Re:Re:Re:Re:Re:Re:Re:Re:Updates and Changeshttp://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=374458Thereya go. Ignore the hate and animosity of about 19 pages. I dont thinkthere has been a dev or Community manager posting since a day beforeFan Faire. That is what is upsetting alot of us, heck including myself.Alot of us are a bit leary when we hear no information from the devs onproblems inside the patch notes. Alot of the Mystic bugswere reported during Test and it was still pushed live with the bugsstill in place with the missing items that were posted in the patchnotes.Mystic * Enhance: Cures, Fading Spirit, Ancient Balm: All ward amounts have been increased by 20%. This is not the case. Alot of mystics are seing a drop by about 20 percent instead of an increase * Immunization: Improved reuse speed from 3 to 2 minutes. This spell still does not work as intended. alot of spells are still damaging the immune target. * Weapon Mastery: Also increases effectiveness of Summoned Spirit Companion (single down arrow instead of double down arrow). This is the one that has Mystics foaming at the mouth. This dog is important to us because most of our shaman line spells are tied with him/her. Unfortunately he is still a 3 down pet and as anemic as ever. Some Mystics are saying the parse is showing a drop in hitpoints since 37. And I can tell you for a fact that the dps parse for dogdog has not changed. I realize that this might seems a bit trivial and after all this is just a game.In blue is the problems that were not changed or broke during last patch. If you can forward to the powers that be.Howeverit is a game both me and my wife as well as my family enjoy playing (3accounts strong) and little problems like this can cause alot ofproblems down the line. I for one am tired of being left out of raidsbecause I am a mystic. I am beginning to feel like a eq1 Paladin.Nowfor a suggestion, we as a community have different problems that needaddressing before and after a major patch. What I would suggest is adesignated liaison for each class that can post concerns or problemsto someone at sony. This is an extreme undertaking however, Communityrelations is what it is all about in any business venture. This wouldallow problems known to the classes to be voiced by one person insteadof about 19 pages of rants and flames by a multitude. EQ2 has a classboard, we should be able to hash out problems there and then oneperson compile the problems and pass it on to a dev or communityrelation manager who can get it to the right person. Alot oftimes a DEV does not understand how breaking a problem is or how muchof a problem something can be because they cannot play each and everyclass. A perfect example is the AA Rez line for mystics. Inpracticality it would be a good line however during raids and groupsrezzing falls to the paladins and the dirges. So it basically rendersthe whole line moot. I would be willing to bet if you totaled all themystics who have this line the amount would be less than 3 percent. Oneperson per class would allow for those problems to be given to theright people, and explained to a point where a dev who is not asfamilar as a person who has played a Mystic for 3 years in game wouldunderstand.I realize this idea has been kicked aroundon other games and has worked in a few mmo's it is a suggestion, andmuch like opinions everyone has one.Anywho. Gnobrin.Thank you for your time and patience with me during this. If you willforgive my typing today, I am at work and posting this from an IPAQ.Type can be a bit strained._________________________________________ __________Well there you go folx. As more posts come out Ill post them. With Gnobrin's consent.Thank you Gnobrin for listening to us and atleast agreeing to forward our concerns. Here is hoping guys and gals.Macabrat Myopia. The Blind Healing Rat.

I'm not sure how changing the dog's difficulty rating could potentially impact other things that significantly where it becomes a showstopper. This, to me, and coming from someone in the software community, sounds like an easy fix. Well at least someone from the company has acknoweldged it in writing.

BIG UPS TO YOU MACA!

I have been so busy at work so almost non-active for a whole month, I can see that your still fighting the good fight.

As a follow mystic I've got nothing but respect for you for the time and energy you put into communicating with SoE, hopefully by your doing opening up a bridge between the devs and mystic players base and together we can solve these long and not so forgotten issues.

Of course, he can't find the GU37 feedback thread since this is the Mod who keeps posting GU38 sneak preview threads in the wrong section of the forums...*sighs*

So many times, little changes in code had huge, unexpected and quite unrelated affects on the entire game. It is plausable that changing something a small as Dogdog from a triple down to a single down could adversely affect something else. Trust me, I've seen far stranger relationships in code. I'm pleased to see that somebody in the community has written back about this problem. It gives me a slight amount of hope that someday this may be fixed. Though another patch has come and gone without a change being made to any of the aforementioned problems.

Thank you so much for getting into contact with someone and posting for all of us to see =). I just don't understand why they would put the dog upgrade into the GU37 notes and in the text of the Weapon mastery AA, if they just weren't going to do it in the first place.

Umm where is the fix that you mentioned with your opening paragraph? Was there a corrospondence missing? All I see is gnorbin misunderstanding you and passing the buck (understandable as fixing isn't his job)

For starts, the fix I refer to is that someone from Sony Replied. More than I can say we have accomplished in about 6 weeks of complaining on the boards. He has promised to move it to the right people. Thats the best fix we can hope for from him.

and the last post. As you can see below Gnobrin passed it on but devs are pulling the ignore the problem and maybe they will go away tactic so common in Sony.

Due to the entire dev staff working on Rise of Kunark, you'll not see any mention of class revamps for a while. The staff is working on getting out a good expansion, not re-tuning past additions... Not yet, at least.

I've already given the input to the producer's staff, it's only a matter of time.

Thanks for passing it on Gnobrin. Sorry Mystics for getting your hopes up. afterall...we are just playing a game, and hey why should the devs care
