Lightbringer Heritage - General Drull bugged or did we miss something?

We tried yesterday killing Drull for the Lightbringer Heritage. Zoned into Maulics Stronghold, sneaked the group behind the named that was standing there and killed him.As soon as he was dead General Drull poped and attacked us, we killed him too (id even saw later in my log the entry "You killed General Drull&quot<img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />, but no one of us has gotten a questupdate on him.Support answered us that there are no entries in the server log showing that we killed him ?!? [Removed for Content]?Any ideas? dont want a second time to get a raid together and then again getting bugged...

Did this quest about 3 weeks ago and all went fine (i.e. the quest updated), so I can confirm it worked and the zone is the right zone.  However, we did it the old fashioned way of killing all the waves of orcs.If you have a raid then I suggest you make sure you are all mentored to with 9 levels (basically so that no-one has the message about not getting XP) and kill the waves.  It works.  Or at least did 3 weeks ago. BTW, don't hang around after the quest updates as that's when the epics appear!On a separate note, I do think it is just plain daft that all the other steps prior to Maulic's Stronghold are now solo tasks but this last task needs a (good) raid.

I might be wrong but you most likely nullified your efforts by doing it as a raid.

I might be wrong but you most likely nullified your efforts by doing it as a raid.</blockquote>Yeah this is the most likely explanation.The zone is no longer an epic zone, which means you only need 1 group to kill him. And of course, killing heroic content with a raid force nullifies any reward you get, including quest updates.

we had only a group, 3 people in fact 32 / 34 and 40.also the grx2 attacked us after drull was dead so i suppose this did also work.No idea what went wrong... also the 40 wasnt too high, we tested afterwards on a green mob to ensure we get xp and no one had a message saying we get no xp...

Did this solo with my fury 59 last week. Just strolled in and killed all the waves and finally Drull.

worked today. Although it seems we found a change they made that was bugging it yesterday.We today did it in raid (not group) that consisted of lvl24 to 32. Just to be sure we decided all should mentor down on lvl30 to make him green for everyone when he would be solo.However, one forgot to do so and stayed at 32, and all got the questupdate, EXCEPT the lvl32. He has the quest for sure on the right step (did it with him in a group together with some others that did get questupdate), so it seems he is no more updating when he is or would be greyed out.
