<p>Depends what medium you're going to be working in. If freestyling pencil, paint or graphics, I'd suggest getting a load of reference material (<i>google images</i>) and practice. If you're after a photoshop method using it's tools, then one googled "fire photoshop" threw up this serious looking walkthrough. <a href="http://photoshoptechniques.com/texp/fireptk.php" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">http://photoshoptechniques.com/texp/fireptk.php</a></p><p>Hehe, think I might try that one myself for a new sig. <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /></p>

Or, if you're feeling lazy, you can find various flame brushes for Photoshop on DeviantArt.

Best part is the price tag is substantially less than PS. PSP X cost me about $75-$80 and has really paid for itself. Adobe Photoshop CS2 cost me $600 bucks and I use it, but not as much as PSPX.

Whatever graphic application you're using, there's a good chance googling <i>fire tutorial</i> and the applications name will pull something up. <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/e8a506dc4ad763aca51bec4ca7dc8560.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" />

You can always download [Removed for Content] for free. It's just like photoshop but open source. It stands for GNU Image Manipulation Program.<a href="http://www.[Removed for Content].org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.[Removed for Content].org/</a>
