From what I seen on the forums the restrictions as far as what items can be shown are essentially what the classes can equip, however is there a level restriction as well? Had the thought of having a lower level character buying statless stuff off the vendors for pure looks but would end up being to high for him to normally equip? For example buying a level 30 pala alt the nice and shiny indium vanguard off the armor vendor, he wouldn't normally be able to equip it as normal armor due to level but would he be able to equip for show?

I believe so. Basically, it's just the rule of "if you can equip it, you can put it in your appearance slot." I would assume this includes levels.

The restriction is if you can wair it you can put it in appearance so if its a higher lvl piece of armor then you then no you can't put it in appearance.

You'll need to be at least level 20 (adventure or crafting) to see the appearance tab. You can put anything in those slots that you could normally wear.Othesus - Dirge - Lucan DLereVaspar - Fury - Lucan DLere

Would be nice to hear from some one on test who has actually tired though i guess its not long now till we all find out.

If you can't equip it, you can't fluff it.
