Could the RoK Beta start this week ?

<p>If I remember correctly the EoF beta started about 2 months before going live (I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong). KoS Beta was about 6 weeks before going live. We are now 2 months from RoK going live, give or take a few days.</p><p>As RoK is expected to be the biggest expansion yet, you would think 2 months would be about right. GU 38 goes live in a few days (I think). I cannot remember what happened last year, did one of the test servers get converted to Beta or was it another server?</p><p>I would not imagine that they would fit in another GU before RoK so It's my guess that they will convert a Test Server to Beta and start inviting late this week. </p><p>I can live in hope can't I?</p><p><i>Waves a copy of Equinox at SOE to remind them that I bought a beta invite.</i></p>

<p>So Far Beta has always been a "new" server however this will be the first time that there are accually 2 test servers when an expaintion enters beta so my guess is that the PvP_Test server will be retasked as the Beta server once LU38 goes live.</p><p>As far as fitting in another LU befor RoK there is plenty of time for them to do that, besides they need to have an LU in Mid-October to download the Day of the Dead assits prior to Holloween.</p>

<p>To date the servers used for Expansion testing have been beta servers that are wiped at the end of the test, for Adventure packs the test server has been used with a beta buff character in the new zone, at the end of the test the beta buffed toons are deleted along with any armor etc leaving the regular testers still on the server.</p><p>I suspect that beta will start shortly. For a laugh I fired up an old beta patcher and got a connection up to the login screen at which point it told me I didnt have an EQ2 subscription and would I like to enter a code number. </p>

For EOF there were two Beta servers - Regular and PvP.  I suspect the same will happen this time.

Honestly I don't care about the servers, I just want to get the beta started.  Lets see the goods!!!  (and not the goodies, get back to Qeynos)
