so, when exactly does the rok beta start? and is it open or closed?

i haven't heard anything when the beta starts, anyone know? also, i've heard mixed results is the beta is open (everyone can jo in), closed (only select people can join), or if i t'll be closed at first, then go open. anyone know  about that also?

SOE has historically had closed betas (Apply for Beta, they give you an invite if accepted) for their games.  Not sure when ROK will see its beta <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

I would say looking at past beta projects that SOE has done we should see the close beta start 8 to 6 weeks before release.  Release is set for Nov 13th so we are in that window.  Sony has a big server and hardware update they are doing on September 25 so IMO the Beta will start that week following the Server upgrades.
