Appearance slot dress-up thread!

  A big part of a swashbuckler is looking cool. We've got an AA line named "Style", for [I cannot control my vocabulary] sake. So in the spirit of that, I'm going to encourage everyone here to get a head start on gathering stuff to make yourself look cool before everyone else on your server wises up. In this thread, you are encouraged to post pictures of what you've bought/found on the broker in the Dressing Room, and the names of items that have cool looking graphics. Here's my Swashbuckler- <img src="http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o145/dynamatard/EQ2_000192.jpg" border="0" alt="" />  Hat is relic, boots/gloves/chest/legs are junk EL drops(Enchanted woven thicket or something). Bare arm effect is from the Pristine Tailored Canvas Shawl. Cowl of the Trickster is not particularly swashbucklerish, but it's a Grey and Red chain Ranger-style cowl that anyone who can wear chain can wear.

Those, plus my Garanel's Mantle, should make for a nice black and white image. <p>Although I think the appearance tab is awesome it does sort of highlight that there are not really that many great options for a swashbuckler type - at least at my level (59.) I just went with some leather stuff and the bare arms that seem popular. Sure wish the leather pants didn't have the grey flappy bits and looked more like the top (both cuirboilli) but oh well. So I'm playing a little catchup after a few month sabbatical. Is there a trick with the bare arms I havent caught onto yet using the Appearance tab? Or was everyone's arms just genuinely naked for the screenies?

Certain shoulder pieces, when placed in the appearance tab shoulder slot, will provide the bare-shouldered look.  Several of the lower tier handcrafted cloth shoulders have this affect.

I have put back on the level 20 AQ armour. I dunno if it is still in game but I had it hanging around as I used to put it on for running around in town. Now I can wear it all the time and really play pirate. I also have a suit of the armour given for the Bloodlines Chronicles, it was shiny plate and any class could wear it. Good for those formal occasions <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />I'll try and grab some screen shots over the weekend. <p>Gossamer leggings and golden efreeti boots.</p><p>I have to say I really don't like the gossamer leggings because of the skirt/kilt thing. They make the outfit look very bulky. I would recommend swapping those out for one of the many lower level, plain white swashbuckler look mage pants. They're player crafted and cheap, and they look better. <p>The pants are relic, the red boots in the 1st pic are Gnomish Spring Boots (one of the airship plating collections. I wanna say medium but it could be any one, been too long).</p><p>The black ones in the bottom two pics are Shadow Slippers, they dropped off A Charged Presence in Halls of Seeing. They're tradeable (and the only tradeable ones), so you can drop money on them if they're on the broker, if you want.</p><p>There are green ones that drop off DVinn in the Acadechism.</p>

<p>Those are called "Sweat-soaked Shoulderpads"  (ew) they are a leather treasured drop from the Shard of Fear instance.    Really pathetic stats, but an interesting look for the appearance slot.  I wear them on my Warden.</p>

<p>darn....im not finding alot of swashy stuff that matches other than the really girly looking 62 mc cloth, the mc 62 woven leather(yucky brown), the growth stuff (green treasured leather with cloth armour model), the gossomer stuff and the 70 treasured cloth, but the armour models on the chestpiece look like crap and i cant find anything to match the blue with the same cloth model pattern.</p><p>i put in a petition a while ago to try and get my swashy set armour back, so far no luck.</p><p>any suggestions?</p>

Tried for a nice short-sleeved look. Ahh thx, found these Reet Shoulderpads, quest item, that have the look I've been seeking. I don't like wearing a hat and cape as I feel is has become too common. I prefer to look more like a pirate/corsair. Less flair and more ruggedness in appearance.

They are from the Freeport trade skill faction. You need 30,000 faction with them to buy them. Can't get them as a swash, you would have to betray to a brig and do 200 trade skill writs to be able to buy them. As far as i know I'm the only swash with that outfit, and it's even more likely that i'm the only HALFLING swash with that outfit, mwahahaha.
