NPC encounters will more reliably avoid attacking a mezzed player than before.

Ok....This is what I'm assuming this means: A mob fron an encounter mezzes one of the players in our group. The other mobs used to awaken players in this situation but from now on will tend to leave him mezzed. Anyone else have a different interpretation?

Your interpretation sounds correct to me. I know I've been mezzed before by an NPC and had it break before the expiration - never realized it was due to being hit, but if it was this would fix that. Should make certain fights a bit more interesting to say the least.

Now what I'm interested in is what happens when you're soloing a mob who mezzes you. Does the encounter reset because the mob has no one else to attack? Or do you just sit there until the mez wears off?

No the mob would stack all his debuffs on you, nuke once with a big nuke and remez you.
