Being that adding a slot would be EXTREEMLY popular with the players if they where going to add one they would be shouting it from the rooftops. Therefor no new caractor slot for RoK. This does not mean that they won't add one down the road. They have already added 5 free slots and 1 "paid*" slot already to the game. All added between expaintions.</p><p>*if your accually paying for 12 total slots(and are not playing more then 1 SoE title) you are wasting your money as you can get 14 slots(using 2 accounts) for the same amount of money.</p>

I only have 7 slots  is that what every one else has if they have the basic sub ? and i will be getting the pass when PoTbs comes out will i get more then ?

Not sure what PoTbs is, but as far as an additional slot when RoK comes out, there has been no official statement, if there is one it will probably be annouced a few days prior to the release of the next expansion for EQ2.  There have been other expansions that have added a character race - the FAE, when the fae first released with the expansion there was no additional character slot added, it was added to the subscriptions after the dark fae and neriak was patched in (1 basic, 2 SA).  </p><p>Will it happen again? Only the shadow knows, while it would be nice to gain an additional two slots on all my station access acounts it is not a deal stopper for me, I am looking forward to Kunark in the game, if I have to delete one of my low level characters on all the accounts to play the new race, so be it. This is my feelings, others may and will have different feelings concerning it.</p>

<p>If they added in another character slot people who pay for their upgraded station pass would expect to get two.  They added in 1 extra slot for regular people and 2 for us upgraded station pass people.  I do agree though that if the devs were going to add another character slot we would have heard about it already getting us psyched up. </p><p>Wouldn't mind an extra character slot that way I could make two more characters without feeling guilty of locking up my account.  </p>

<p>While I agree that based on past experience, it is highly unlikely that a new character slot will be added (after all, they added a new race, the Fae, on the last expansion and gave us no new slot for that--it was half a year later when they added the Arasai that we finally got a slot), I would point out that not having heard anything doesn't mean no.  The last new slot wasn't announced until just before launch of the LU.  So they may wait until late October-early November to make such an announcement.  Although it would make sense to be advertising a new slot, no one would accuse SOE of being masters of marketing skills.</p><p>I still think it highly unlikely, though, since we got a new slot in May.</p>

<p>Are you sure there wasn't an extra slot with the Fae?  I thought they increased it (or maybe they increased it, but not in conjunction with the expansion.  I don't remember exactly.)</p>

There definitely wasn't a slot with the Fae.  There were a lot of complaints at the time, as people whose slots were full had to decide whether to delete a character or not.  I was one of those folks, and had to delete one of my characters.  They did add a slot 7 months later when they introduced the Arasai, which I've been hanging onto since I want a Sarnak but wouldn't have any space come November if they didn't add a slot.

However, the addtional slot with the Arasai was announce I think less then a week after thr LU that proceded its launch went live, as was the addtion of Neriak, so consitering the way SoE usually advertizes its LUs I would call that shouting it from the roof tops(atleast for SoE).
