Hello all, I'm a fury on Nagafen PVP server.Since recent incombat changes my cheetah no longer stacks with my other incombat speed buffs yet now out of combat buffs like sow do stack with other incombat buffs. Can someone help me understand the speed buff mechanics?None of this makes sense since it all contradicts the simple spell definitions. My cheetah says it will increase incombat speed by 56%. It used to be a simple matter of addition for all incombat buffs which would have me cruising at 96% (5% fae trait, 35% predator AA line, then 56% with cheetah). Now I am capped at 61%.Of course my sow now stacks with my incombat buffs giving me a runspeed of 60%. So I cast cheetah and I am still capped at 61%. With the complete nerf of incombat speed in pvp this spell has been made completely meaningless to my fury. It does not even help me out of combat since I am obviously capped. Come on devs, wardens still have evac ability, yet Fury's cheetah seems completely worthless.Theo

Yes, as far as PvP is concerned it is completely useless. Not only does the incombat side of it not work, it will drag you into combat if you cast it while under attack.I use it only on the rare occasion when my group wants to get somewhere a bit quicker...and they dont have any runspeed buffs. Thats rare as most people i know have a mount of some kind.I havent removed it from my hotbar yet, but i'm not far away...

Well, I have been very confused by this spell. I understand in-combat speed has been removed from pvp encounters. The thing that was confusing me was that out of combat my cheetah which was at 56% would not stack with my already incombat speed of 40%. It used to. Basically cheetah no longer stacks with any other speed buffs but counts from zero.By adding AA's to cheetah I can once again cruise at 100% - it just doesnt stack. Why make this change? All incombat speed enhancements I thought were supposed to stack together. All out of combat enhancements used to also stack together yet previously the two would not mix. Now everything is murky, my incombat buff of 40% stacks with my out of combat sow of 20% yet my cheetah stacks with nothing.I guess the plus is with sow stacking I know cruise at 60% without cheetah - so my general complaint is only in the screwy mechanics.Someone please bring some sense to speed enhancements!Theo

The answer is that when they nerfed in-combat runspeed, they also changed the Predator AA. It used to be that when maxxed the Predator AA gave us 35% in-combat runspeed, but now it has been changed to out-of-combat runspeed, so instead of stacking with PoC in-combat, it now stacks with SoW out-of-combat. The only in-combat runspeed you can get is what you have, PoC + a racial ability. Personally, I think that racial ability is waaaaaaaay overpowered now, and really requires certain builds to be of a precious few races. I wish they'd get rid of the racial traits entirely, or open them up to everyone. As it is, the PvE folks can role-play, but us PvP folks are sort of forced into cookie-cutter combos, and it's quite irritating IMHO.

Answer, your in-combat runspeed isn't as fast as it once was, but now you're PoC and racial traits are a great combo. Bards--former runspeed kings--are now again the kings of runspeed.

Those of us who have no desire to play faries or cats etc., are now faced with a character built for speed and stopping power, that now lacks both.
