Not sure if this is the be forum for this, but didn't see a better choice--and apolgies if this has been asked/answered anywhere else.My question regards how the Broker determines the priority for which it lists items that are set at the same price. It clearly isn't alphabetical (easy to check--just go find a 1c item and look at the disorder of all the names). It also isn't random, because I checked a list of 16 separate items I had for sale priced at the same price as a competitor. I checked these prices from my main, an alt on my account, and a toon on a second account... in all 16 cases on all three toons, the order was the same.So--the only other possibility I (well, we... my competitor and I) came up with was that there must be a time-stamp on when the item was first posted, and the broker ranks them in order from oldest to most recent (again, assuming the items are all priced the same). What's interesting here is that it does not matter if the price was changed...only when the item was first placed on the broker. In other words, repricing doesn't reset the timestamp.Now--I think this was a good idea by SoE, to help make things fair they are letting the guy who's had his stuff up there the longest have the best chance of selling his item (I say best chance, because clearly if things are priced the same, whoever is at the top of the list always has the best chance of getting bought first). However, here's the catch, and why I am posting in this forum.... I think SoE didn't factor in how this would play out with *stacks* of items (like adornments). As mentioned above, the priority is set by when the item is first posted... but with adornments, if items are added to the stack (i.e., replenishing stock), the timestamp doesn't change... it keeps the original timestamp of the oldest item in the stack. So if you want to own the adornment market, you just never let your stacks run out, and price equal to your competition. Now it looks like you are graciously co-existing and not continually under-cutting, but the fact is you have the inside ticket to the best sales. So, it appears that by not resetting the timestamp when new items are added to a stack, SoE has inadvertantly yielded the opposite effect of what they were trying to do--newer items end up with an old timestamp and get listed first. If anyone has thoughts on this, or knows of a better place to post the thread where it may get more exposure to the Devs, I'd welcome the input.Thanks!--Corgi
