Melee Fury (kind of)

<p>I just betrayed my 21 warden to a fury. I am extremely excited about animal form and how it might be used in leveling up.</p><p>I plan to solo virtually all of the way to 70 and was planning this type of attack strategy:</p><p>1) hit mob with big boy (which I get at 23)</p><p>2) then a couple of dots and one hot</p><p>3) then animal form and then melee madness until dead (mob, that is)</p><p>With my 17 aa's I have gone shapeshift and 16 in Animalism (5 to go).</p><p>Some questions:</p><p>1) will this work with even cons and for how many levels? (i.e. does it kill fast enough since no hots during melee)</p><p>2) Should I give more emphasis to str (perhaps str 1st and below that, wis+int)</p><p>3) Should next AA's be in STR line (I think I heard that double attack bonus does not apply during animal form -- bummer if true) (can Nature Blade be used in animal form; if so, does the haste stack with animal form's haste) (same question for Natural Boon; with all the haste and a high speed weapon, this could be a significant healer)</p><p>4) what would be best weapon in this scenario (I know min delay for power grab but that is not quite my focus; really looking for max dps so thinking 2-hander but maybe shield and a fast slasher for the Natural Boon heals since I'm giving up the hots )?</p>

I'm specced out str/int and animal form/vortex, just for the heck of it for now. Str line heals proc during animal form, so that's on question down...lesse...don't worry abot weapon damage, pick a fast one with a good proc or awesome stats + a damage adornment with a buckler if you plan on meleeing your way through levels.hmm... Don't forget animal form buffs your hp (hp and mit if it's cast on a mage) so it makes you a bit tougher. The nature's blade haste stacks with animal form yes... I usually use the int melee attack, cast the single regen on myself (hibernate too, but that's a long way off <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ) and let the procs from the form do the dps...unless you get a ton of str your weapon's power isn't going to factor into your animal form dps at your level. Double attack I don't remember ever seeing proc off animal form, but I'd have to test it to be sure.

Animal form doesn't proc off the double attack (first, but not second).To make full use of animal form you will need a fast 1 hander. The procs are wasted with a big hitter with a long delay. Though you could switch between the 2 if you arent using animal form for the power procs alone.Also, agitate haste stacks with animal form haste too. I recommend putting 5aa in there as you work for animal form.
