I've touched on this before, but it become especially some to think about with The Rise of Kunark Expansion and of course the Monk Epic questline. Since Matoko has gone one to be one of Quellious's Hearlds (although no longer in the game) Who is the leader of the Silent Fist?

Well the way I see it is whoever sells the spells, is the guildmaster.

However, some ACTUAL lore would be appreciated.

I would think guildmasters would have better things to do then sell spells and combat arts, they should give out questlines, oversee the day to day operation of the guilds, and delegate.

I agree however some lore would be appreciated.

Although I do have to wonder if they will be adding any Master Monks to the Dojo for any part of the Epic questline.

That reminds me why are the other fighter trainers hanging out in North Qeynos when their Guild hall is in Qeynos harbor next to the bank? Although the Paladins would be next to the UFO.

Sorry unless it's something like a Crusader Order most City Fighter guilds do not really have any lore behind them and some like the Knights of Marr and Kights of Thunder are disbanded. Scouts Priest and mages might have some however.

I didn't know that they were disbanded, just that their guild hall was closed "by order of the Queen" (or something), but never really gave it much thought. As for who is the leader of certain orders/guilds....unless it's specified somewhere I don't see why the person selling the spells couldn't be the leader of said order/guild. One might expect a leader to have better things to do, but really what's more important then training the next generation so they can carry the banner with pride when their time comes?

Training should be given in the forms of Quests (Major hint) , not 20gp , besides he is not in Matoko's dias.

The Hall of Thunder was closed down because nobody had any further use for it.

So any chance of a Developer weighing in on this? After all the Dojo looks odd missing it's sensei.

The war happened after Lucan tricked the Knights of Marr to thier doom in Befallen itself, which means that the Knights of Thunder went there first.
