Yeah I know, another LON thread, but hear me out.

From what I've heard in Beta (and now in live), some people have all the luck, getting at least 1 loot card in the three starter packs that you start the game with.

Unfortunatly, I didn't get anything when I opened mine. I'd like to hear some feedback on how many you seem to encounter when you get new packs and such.

I'll be honest, I'm not so much interested in the game itself, as I am in the loot cards. I'm sure many others are the same. Maybe I'll take interest in the game later, but for now I just want a loot card. Preferably in the form of a furniture item.

Haven't bought any packs, I only have the 6 boosters Fan Faire attendees got, and I got 2 loot drops. (An Aggro Reducer clicky, and the Geldrian illusion). I've heard others go all 6 and not get a single loot card though, so YMMV.

It's a redeemed loot card so it should be no drop, which means (AFAIK) it can't be listed on the brokers. Is someone just /auc'ing to sell a card from LoN for plat in game or something?

Maybe...if the loot cards are as common as people are stating....sometime 2 or more per 6 packs then not so bad.

I didn't realize that until this morning, when I fired EQ2 back up. I didn't even realize until just now that there was a recipe card. Undoubtedly, the recipe card itself is No Trade.

Still, apparently the recipe itself is rare enough that people are able to charge 50-80p for the crafted item without blushing; there was a third Stein this morning on Mistmoore for 50p.

Bah, I'm one of the unlucky one, but I knew I would be cause...I just suck.I didn't get any with the free packs I got in beta, and I bought two more and still didn't get any.suck..suck..suck..suck....oh well, I don't win the loot lotto that often either, so..what did I expect

The price is likely because it is a novelty and new. But, in my opinion, the product of the recipe should be as No Trade as the redeemed loot items are supposed to be.

My question would be what were we supposed to get when the game went live? I have 2 accounts, one that I used in the beta and one I did not. The beta account got 2 boosters plus the starter deck in beta, then when it went live I got 2 more boosters and another starter deck. The account that I didn't use in the beta only got a starter deck when it went live. Which is correct?

Your chances of getting a loot card are around 1 in 9. If I remember right the comment from a dev was better then 1 in 9 so it might be 1 in 8.5 or something... There are a lot of different loot cards though so there is a good chance it will just be an exp potion of some sort. To my knowledge there are two recipe loots. Stein of the Alesmith which is the port to tavern and the card case which is just a house item. Both items are also available as loot cards in which you just get the item and not the recipe.

I bought 50 bucks worth of cards during beta (that 17 booster packs) and i only got 1 loot card. So there not that common. When you open a pack you have a chance for a rare card or a loot card, the rare card are more common than the loot card. So don't go out and buy a bunch of booster thinking your going to be able to get a lot of loot card, as you won't.Lucky i enjoy play LoN and the 50 bucks was worth it to me

But they only got one. SOE Denver caught up the Fan Faire attendees by giving them an extra booster Wednesday morning. Then Wednesday, when it went live, everyone (Beta attendee and not) got a single starter pack(random between fighter and mage)
