Sorry if this has been asked before, I did search and could not find an answer.I just bought a new gaming laptop.  It is an HP dv9500t (from Costco for $1500).  It was only available with Vista.  I updated Windows and my video drivers and then installed EQ2.  I set XP compatability mode and ran as administrator.  Did the long update for several hours, no problem.  Launched the game and started play.  So far everything seems to work.  The only problem is that when I run in Full Screen mode, the aspect ratio is off.  Everything is stretched horizontally.  Toons look fat and hotbar icons are not square.  When I look at the settings in EQ2, they appear to be correct for the laptops native screen resolution (1680x1050).  If I switch to Windowed mode, the aspect ratio is fixed and everything appears normal, even if I resize the window to take up almost all of the screen.  It isn't a giant problem since I don't mind running in windowed mode, but I was wondering if anyone has an idea of how to fix the problem.  Here are the system specs:Intel core 2 duo processor (T7300 2GHz)2 GB RAM511 MB NVidia GeForce 8600M GS video card120 GB x2 Hard drives17" WSXGA+ screenWindows Vista Home Premium (32 bit)I haven't had a chance to game for extensive time periods yet, but so far, this system seems to work pretty well except for this weird aspect ratio problem.   Any help would be appreciated.

Silly question but did you select the native resolution of your display in EQ2's graphics options?I play on a 1680x1050 monitor at that resolution and I haven't noticed what you are describing.EQ2 defaults the resolution of the game to 1024x768 regardless of the hardware you have so if you haven't changed it that is your problem.Good luck!

Thanks for the response.  Yes, I went into the options and set the resolution to 1680x1050.  It didn't help.  EQ2 appears to be ignoring the setting and displaying a stretched image instead.

I'm running 1680x1050 also, but only get stretched images on the zoning screens. <div>Everything else is fine so I put up with it.</div>
