I made a similar post in the combat forums, but i thought i would ask other swashies. Have any of you been missing a lot more lately? I am wondering if i am doin something wrong or the mechanics are messed up.

I was in DT and in 46min of combat i missed 604 times. Skill for pierce was 463, so i shouldn't have had any problems hitting anything in the zone..My dps was horrid as well...never parsed over 2k.

anyway, just checkin...Thanks

You could still be at a decent 'average' hit/miss and be on par (this is where the purists begin to argue the merits of a slower delay weapon, which really would help DPS in most cases). It sounds like you had a good amount of haste, and a fast weapon to begin with. Ergo, lots of swings = lots of misses (but still an equivalent hit %).And, if you factor these things still, and it seems you are still at a low hit %, then your other debuffers may have been slackin' or you're firing off your big hits before dispatch hits (if you have this option). Mit debuffs are important. And (more regarding the overall-DPS instead of specific to hit/miss ratio) consider your group makeup, and which weapon may be more suited at the time. Fact of life is, you're gonna miss sometimes, and the faster you swing, the more you miss. Sometimes, it really is better to have a lower delay weapon to make up dps, especially if you've got plenty of haste in your group (more often than not, slower weapons are better, IMO)

agree that posting misses alone doesnt say much. its about percentage. but mit debuffs dont affect hits, only dmg.

to increase hits u want agi, def, parry debuffs etc.

It used to be that slash or piercing resistant mobs meant having a variety of weapons was needed or AA were dependent on them, do weapon types matter much anymore?
