Account cancellation question.

If I will be gone for an extended period of time and I cancel my account, how much time will my characters be saved and useable when I go to re-activate the account?

as near as i can tell (barring any freakish accident where SOE has to wipe and reload from tape backups of course), they will stay on your account indeffinately. at leas i have gone a good 6+ months and then resubbed and was able to log in and play as usual.

Here is SoEs official stance according to the Knowledge Base:Will I lose my characters if I <b>cancel</b> my account?Canceling your account does not affect your characters immediately, only your billing information. Though we generally do not delete characters on closed accounts, we cannot guarantee the integrity of characters after an account closes. Please keep in mind that you will need to use the same Station Name and Password that you used before you canceled your subscription to the game when you choose to log in again.
