OK started a new Monk toon two weeks ago. (I have a 70 Templar)

I started down the STR/STA lines...got to level 28 and am really frustrated. I took up Alchemy for crafting so I could make my own Adept 3s. Level 28 there also. Good armor...I have 5 of the 6 Gi pieces. Fight barefisted...meaning nothing in those slots.

I expected someone a bit more powerful than my Templar...but seems I can't do anything my Temp couldn't do. Tried a blue triple up and got completely used...tried a blue double up...had to FD. I can barely do a green triple up...and that's iffy. I guess I was just expecting more.

So I did a respec and am going down the AGI/INT lines. Got some imbued batons. I'll let you know how it goes.

Anyone have any ideas I'm all ears.

The str line will be your best line, unless you can get fabled weapons, however, you need at least 16 points in the line [4/4/8] for it to be useful. If you want to solo as a monk, without access to fabled weapons, you prolly want to go 4/4/8/8 str, 4/4/8/7/2 int. Your spec with the agility line will not work... the agility line sucks, and is currently our worst AA line. If you are looking for more dps (again without fabled weapons) go str/wis/int 4/4/8 in both, but you won't have some of the nice defensive stuff you get from the 4th abilities in each line that would help you solo.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. That's pretty much what I hear everyone saying.

I'm going to try the AGI/INT strategy for a while. So far so good. Took down some named green triple ups...very close fight but I have yet to die. Got ambushed by a mob of four, one named green double up and three of his buddies...all green. I had to FD on the last guy but eventually prevailed.

My next test are the double up blue rumblers in TS...I need them to get my final Gi piece. They owned me before.

One interesting note...all my resists are ~200...all except for mental...that's a whopping 1000+. Still trying to figure that one out.
