is there any formula for aggro? i beleive its aggro to damage 1:1 but wondering if its any different or if there is any extra bits that might change ur aggro gain other than buffs / aa's ect ect.

Stuns, power drains, and HP/MP shaves add hate.  So do group cures, damage shields, wards, and certain debuffs.Try casting Pillaging and Curse of Isolation, right at the beginning of a fight.  You'll peel mobs as fast as if you had opened with Apocalypse.

really? never new a debuff gained that much hate tbh..especially as crap as that one lol

<p>a dev once said...  a buffs agro depends on the lvl of the spell. and heals do less than 1:1 ratio of hate.</p>

Dev said at fanfair damage is 1hate to 1damage.

They've said that for a long time -- and it's true, insofar as nukes are concerned.  But it's clearly not the only way hate is generated.
