EQ2 client application has stopped working...Vista 32bit

<p>I keep getting the following error after launching the game, getting any updates, then clicking Play:</p><p> "EQ2 client application has stopped working."  </p><p>I get this every single time and Ok, I've tried nearly every little thing I've seen that is remotely close to this...from making sure to "Run as Administrator" to replacing one of the FX paks with a supposed fix.  I am getting the same error still....help would be appreciated <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" />.

Well, that's unfortunate.  It's only modifying the restriction on the Ram...and I got absolutely no help elsewhere.  Oh well.  I guess I'll just have to go back to more studying if I get banned...hehe.

I tried all that with the administrator settings and it didn't work.  I tried everything I could find on these boards and nothing worked but what I posted above.  I haven't had a problem since doing this.  I'll be moving to Vista x64 soon and I'll bet I'll be dealing with this again.  And I'll just use this same fix until SOE manages to fix it themselves.  And I'm really not worried about the possibility of getting banned; this game wastes too much time anyway and it would be a good thing if I were forced to stop playing. <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/e8a506dc4ad763aca51bec4ca7dc8560.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" />  It's not like I'm using some macro to make 5,000 backpacks in-game while I'm while I'm playing another account or something.  I'm merely making it possible to actually play the game I paid and am paying for.  Thanks for the help anyway.

Only additional thing I did to resolve the out of memory issue was to dial the eyecandy down slightly

<p>For me what worked was dialing down the character LOD to med.  The game is gorgeous and very stable for me.  I have all settings maxed except character LOD and shadows off.  I may have turned down the number of spells, not for performance but too many casters makes it hard to see.  LOL</p><p> Slowdethh </p><p>AB</p>
