<p>heya. </p><p> i am running vista 32 bit. </p><p>running as administrator, sp2 as well</p><p>i get the above error. </p><p>i have also disabled any startup programs. turned of uac and windows defender and am trying it without my router. tbh i have had the game a week and have been trawling the forums for options. still can't get it to work... i mean i had vanguard that sucked it quit out every 5 mins. until theyfixed that . . . but i thought eq2 would be much better. please somebody help as i am getting very frustrated. /sigh</p><p> any information at all would be appreciated. </p><p>sorry to bother you all</p><p> kindest regards</p><p>dogamus</p>

<p>and yes i have installed the game twice. it is a digital download from fileplanet with the 3 expansions etc. </p><p>somebody please bloody help :/</p>

ok ihave bloody directx10 how do i uninstall and install 9

<p>You don't. You cannot un-install DirectX as it is an OS component. More over, you do not need to install DX9. Vista / DX10 has DX9EX functions, which emulate DX9. So you are all set in that department. </p><p>What kind of hardware do you have? I doubt that is the problem, but I am just curious. Also, have you tried running a memory diagnostic program? </p>

that particular stop error normally points at driver issues, need to see you dxdaig to see what hardware you are running and what drivers are loaded.
