Is it just me or is it getting harder and harder to find groups. I played 8 months ago on Oasis and stopped because it was getting semi hard. I started up two weeks ago and it's gotten worse. I switched over to Crushbone hoping for something better and it takes me now usually at least 30-90 minutes to find a group?! What gives?I'm a competent 70 templar with all master spells.

It's understandable since a lot of players are lv70 and 100 aa not to say EoF is released for 9 months. There is no point for people who are lv70 and 100 aa to look for an instanced group. They probably got all what they need from instances.Unless there are enough new players, there is no solution for harder and harder LFG.

Thats what I want to see at least on two euro servers.

it does work better when you form the group. lots of times ive waited with my /LFG up to no avail but if you grab a few of the LFG folks and say 'hey im getting a group together come on aboard" it works alot better. i think alot of folks are just bad at the interaction it takes to make a group. might be why they're on an online game rather than out and about in the real world in the first place. that or get a guild, roll some alts and play with the new folks, do some mentoring. the server merge isnt a hot idea, they already did that 8 or 9 months ago. its not a good idea to just keep merging and merging.

Biggest problem to the *just make your own group* is sometimes you want to do a certain thing , ie., finish a quest, start a ring event.......

Not alot want to do *your* thing. I'll admit when I LFG I am very picky on what I want to do. Plus, I hate looking for players also. Most of the time I'd rather just get in with guild groups and if we need one or two outside we tell them straight up what we are doing and if they are alright with it.

Alot of times also, I might have LFG tag up and do some tradeskilling or harvesting while I look. I just dont wanna be bothered with forming the group.

A healer that is LFG for 30 mins? That is impossible. I have to go anonymous on my healers lest I get group invites every 30 minutes. And I play on one of the lowest population servers in the game.

FuriCuri wrote:
Server merge. Thats what I want to see at least on two euro servers.
I have to strongly disagree. I play on Splitpaw and it's just too much people here.Either a server split or they have to instantiate much more.

The problem is not the number of people on the server but it is just simply too hard to do group content. I think it might by the WoW effect of having all these idiotic solo quests for XP instead of promoting grouping. Solo sucks. Sometimes it is necessary but sucks nonetheless.

I really like EQ2 but leveling up solo is not doable. I probably will quit again.

I wouldnt go so far to say solo'n sucks. I'm up to the point where all my quests are groups now and majority of the time I cant find anyone that is willing so to speak that wants to do them or just help do them.

Sometimes I see people LFG for a particular step in Claymore. You've got be willing to go back and help people get caught up to you in order to have people to group with. Be the first person to give ... join some random person who is asking for help with something and they may help you right back or be more willing to do what you want.

I heard you last night complaining in level chat about there being no groups. Couple of reasons.

1) There are no shortages of healers on Crushbone. Especially at level 70. So, don't expect to get a hundred invites just because you are a Templar.

2) Not sure what time you were looking for a group, but it was pretty late last night. Most groups are form earlier in the evening.

3) We had multiple groups forming last night for many of the instances. But we were only taking guildies.

Moral of the story, find a guild or start putting groups together instead of just saying Templar LFG.

aye if ur below 65.. well gluc still gonna have to form ur own grp. If your at 70, theirs an endless supply of people already dead locked in their and waiting for the next expansion so ur probably only gonna see a raid invite as most people are already fully in guilds and thats where they grp and stay.

EQ2 is really different from EQ1. In EQ1, you don't need to worry to be in a pick up group with morons at high level. However, it's highly possible in eq2 since there are too many solo encounters. Everyone doesn't need to group to get lv70.A lot of players didn't know how to play their classes in group even they are lv70. Soloing and grouping are different. It discourages people to join a pick up group. For example, I haven't been in a pick up over 6 months. I only group with guild member or people I know. You better join a guild and it helps you to find a group. The more people know you, the easier you can find a group.

I was an enchanter in EQ Live (still am) and I had to hand-hold more people my own level because they had been power leveled by their raid guild because they were an essential class than I ever had to mess with on any lower level I ever played. There are morons who don't know their class for one reason or another in every game, at any level. Just because someone's high level doesn't mean they aren't an idiot and knowing your class or not knowing it has nothing to do with playstyle. It has to do with the effort you put into learning it.And if we can't solo then someone should have told me that before I soloed my way to 66.
