Fae and Arasai and betrayal

I left EQ2 in January. I'm considering coming back. I have some friends that play on the Freeport side on Nagafen and I have a Fae that I'm considering betraying. I'm okay on how to do it, I just have a few questions that I couldn't find on searching: 1. If I betray a fae, is there any downside? When I left EQ2 and they were considering betrayal, there was discussion about having their wings "clipped" and thus losing the flight abilities. Can betrayed Fae enter neriak? 2. Are the differences between Fae and Arasai purely cosmetic? Are the skills the same?

1. a) Other than the same downside for everyone else (all spells/CAs being reset to Apprentice I), nope.    b) Yes they can. My betrayed Fae currently resides in Neriak and was able to enter Neriak when she was still aligned with Freeport.2. Aesthetically, only the wings, hair, eyes, and color choices are different. Fae can only work in pastels while Arasai work in a darker pallet. However, Arasai do have a few different racial traditions than Fae do but not many. They both still get Glide and such.

thx! that's good to know. My Fae fury was level locked and debt leveled back when we had debt on nagafen. his aa's are pretty outtahand for level 20, more than i could get if i remade as an arasai now
