I have a problem with EQ2 on both pc's i have at home, 1 vista ultimate and the other xp pro. I had just downloaded the neriak stuff to start a new char there and thought i'd do a couple of the optional downloads to start off in the background. I created a new char and then played for 30 mins or so. I have now just tried to logon but i keep getting "The station launchpad is unable to connect to the network at this time". I can ping both the server and the second one which i picked up from the forums as being the launchpad server and am experiencing no other internet related issues. Any suggestions what i can do?

C:>ping splitpaw.everquest2.com

Pinging amseq2-03-01.everquest2.com [195.33.139.96] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 195.33.139.96: bytes=32 time=32ms TTL=55Reply from 195.33.139.96: bytes=32 time=32ms TTL=55Reply from 195.33.139.96: bytes=32 time=30ms TTL=55Reply from 195.33.139.96: bytes=32 time=29ms TTL=55

Ping statistics for 195.33.139.96: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 29ms, Maximum = 32ms, Average = 30ms

C:>ping sdkeq2-05-01.everquest2.com

Pinging sdkeq2-05-01.everquest2.com [199.108.12.161] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 199.108.12.161: bytes=32 time=162ms TTL=44Reply from 199.108.12.161: bytes=32 time=162ms TTL=44Reply from 199.108.12.161: bytes=32 time=162ms TTL=44Reply from 199.108.12.161: bytes=32 time=167ms TTL=44

Ping statistics for 199.108.12.161: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 162ms, Maximum = 167ms, Average = 163ms

Do you have a firewall up?

Zone Alarm on the xp machine none on the vista one. All was working fine before the downloads and nothing has changed on the pc's.

Yep, takes ages preparing files then connecting then both machines get the same network error.

I can play the game on both by running everquest2.exe but the launchpad still doesn't work. I tried deleting the launchpad folder and doing a repair from add remove programs but it still doesn't work after that.
