Ok, I can upgrade 1 piece in my computer. Right now I have a gig of pc3200 RAM, and an Ati x1650 vid card with 512MB of its own RAM. I can only get a slightly better vid card on my budget for now, or I can get an extra 2 gigs of ram and get a better vid card in a few weeks. Would the extra RAM make a noticeable difference in this game? I'm tired of craptastic graphics on the high performance setting or lots of choppiness on balanced. Thanks for any advice <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

Having 20% or more of drive space available on any all partitions, will help lessen choppiness. Running a well-known 3rd party disk defrag utility will help lessen stuttering as well.</p>

Is the video card AGP or PCI-E ?<div></div><div>I have the same video card in AGP and found that going from 1Gig to 2Gig of RAM made great improvements in EQ2 as the disk accesses were greatly reduced.</div><div></div><div>I also found that the latest drivers caused choppiness and am still using some I downloaded from a few months ago. I'll post the version I am using later when I get home.</div><div></div><div>I am running in 1650 x 1080 resolution so I know it's pushing a whole bunch of pixels around.</div>
