I found this on a really old message board, back when I really enjoyed being a rogue <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I just thought I'd share some EQ1 Nostalgia- Satyr, Antonia Bayle- Angello, Erollisi Marr~ ~ ~ ~Lemme tell y'all a lil story! I was running around in N. freeport last night logged on with one of my alts, and saw that Darmu is in the zone. As im conductiong my business, I hear a conversation between Darmu and another character named Angello, and it seems that Angello has 'trapped' Darmu in the back room of the bank. As this has happened to me when I first started playing this god-forsaken game, I thought I'd mosey on over, and take a look! Well, a crowd forms, and now everyone is trying like hell to get in. I swear to god, Darmu was asking Angello for at least five minutes to let him out, and of course Angello, the good rogue, is trying to extort some cash outta him LOL Anyway, I took some screen shots of the event, trying to get some of the text before I turned on my log. DUH! But, being the sissy I am, and the fact I dont feel well today, I dont want to even try to cut and past from those. I truly miss the days like this. Particularly the days of disarming REAL traps, and using lockpicks.

In EQ1, I was practicing my lockpick in Befallen, opening and closing the first door.A buncha guys asked me to open the door, so I did.One of them didn't know why I was standing there opening and closing the door. "What you opening and closing the door for? It's annoying me, cut it out loser."Not a nice thing to say to someone who just did you a favor... and seems to be your only ticket out of here.Twenty minutes later they get trained and they start running to zone. I see them at the end of the hall coming my way as I open and close the door. As they get to me I dont open the door, and get assaulted with shouts "DUDE OPEN THE DOOR! OPEN THE DOOR DAMMIT!! [I cannot control my vocabulary] OPEN THE DOOR."Within a few moments the shouts stop, and I start getting rude tells. I open the door and there's all their corpses strewn about with a number of skelles among them. They came back to get their corpses no doubt, but I was already on my way to Sebilis to join a group as I just reached lockpick 201. I was satisfied knowing that they needed a rogue to open that door. I LOLed.The year was 2002. I was proud to be a rogue in Everquest 1.
