I am currently playing a Brig on VOX. I want to go to 70 and use him as a raid toon. Now there is discussion on what AA should be where depending on whether or not the Brig is tanking or doing DPS. Strength if tanking, or Agility for DPS. If you look at the preview for game update 38 there changing the dual wield stats to do more DPS, but slowing attack speeds. Now I'm considering going the strength route the way it is with game update 37, for solo work due to VOX's low server populations and the painstaking process of getting a group. Now if I spec for tanking whats a good 25/25 combo on AA's? I know strength is a good place to start. Now should I stay with the strength line regardless of game update 38 because I'm going to raid with this toon, or am I just completely lost on what I should be doing with my AA's? It's hard to get a serious answer out of anyone on VOX so I was wondering if any high level Brigs could help me out. Especially raid Brigs. Thanks A Bunch for taking the time to answer if you know my answer.

If your tanking you'll want to go Str/Sta for leveling up. If your soloing I'd say Sta/Int, Int purely for the feign death, I [Removed for Content] near soloed all of claymore questline thanks to a 100% feign to get around, helped a ton in MM for Swords of Destiny as well. After that for raids its Str/Agi or Str/Wis depending on gear, group members, and preferance.

Maybe when I'm higher blocking and fd are faster than faster refreshes.

My brigand is 49 (most of it solo) and I've done very well with AGI/WIS, but I've not seen much use for walk the plank as I've advanced. A brigand has more than enough ways of either turning or locking the position on a target that walk the plank is merely an inconsistant annoyance (I might use it if I get an add, but as it isn't a 100% chance of a turn, it's worth is limited imo)

I'm contemplating going STR/AGI though and going dual wield.

I know with my brig I'm spec'd AGI/STR and I love it. With the crit hit bonus plus walk the plank you can do some major DPS. I'm only 34 but my Trickery(don't quote me on the name, but its the one where you fall down and trick your oppenent and does a lot of damage) crits 2400 all the time. Awesome in PvP and for PvE. I just run a shield most of the time when I solo and do massive damage with a my group (guardian, coercer, dirge, wizzy, brig, brig). So I think STR/AGI is the winner in my eyes.

And for high end raiding brigand, what's about str/agi vs str/wiz (with best weapons like clearcutter and axe of natural order...) ??

Personally, I've always favoured STR/AGI. I was pretty much 50/50 grouping/soloing all the way to 70, and I found that setup worked great for me in either situation.Jalathan@Lucan DLere wrote:

My brigand is 49 (most of it solo) and I've done very well with AGI/WIS, but I've not seen much use for walk the plank as I've advanced. For instance, if you're fighting in a tight spot, or the mob roots you. Plus, it's just an extra one if you need it; a little redundancy never hurt anyone Another good use for it: Say your tank is getting pounded by some really nasty mob, and the healer(s) are having a hard time keeping the tank up. In that situation I like to use Walk the Plank to turn the mob away from the group so it can't hit anyone, and then chain stun it while the healers get the tank stabilized. That works best against melee mobs, but will at least stop caster mobs from autoattacking.
