Just think of all the extra booster packs you can sell.My PVP chars taking up all my slots, but I like the populations and PVE action on more poplulated servers.8 slot per server, like old school, IMO.*bow*

Good luck with that, this is SOE..You pay double for 4 more slots, or get another account for 8 more slots

Personally, I think 7 character slots in a whole region is extremely ridiculous. Like all MMOGs have 8 slots per server and they all have fewer classes than EQ2 (except for DAoC, which on the other hand has 10 slots per server and 14 classes per realm so you can still play 30 different classes without worrying about server changes). Being able to play all, or most, classes greatly extends the longevity of a game. I came back to EQ2 just a month ago and I've already used up the 5 slots I had available. I don't want to delete any of my characters, and now I can't create a new one either no matter how much I would like to. I'd rather cancel my account than to pay a ridiculously high monthly fee for something that should already be available.More character slots? Yes, please. That would actually make us play more.

<p>Heck if you really ran out of character slots I have 2 recommendations for you.</p><p>1) Finish playing the toons you have since I seriously doubt you have them all to thier end game - whatever that may be.</p><p>2) Get another account. I have 3 accounts myself because I am an altaholic (5 level 70 toons most raiding end game) and am slowly working my other alts up to that level.</p><p>What is needed more-so then additional character slots is additional hotbars. Try raiding with 10 hotbars (cures/ potions/ poisons/ tinkered items/ spells/ armor clickies/ armor sets/ power clickies) + having to opnn your ui windows to get more macro's and what not. Sheesh.</p>

<p>Here is the impression that I have gotten over the years.</p><p>The EQ2 team would love to give you more slots.  In fact, the more the better.  It's SOE and all the fine print that is holding them back.  It probably took Scott beating on many doors at SOE just to get the one slot recently added.  </p><p>To go back and just say ok, I know that I said just one more slot last time..but really, this is it..just one more.. probably wouldn't go over very well.</p><p>If anything, write letters to the powers to be at SOE.  Those are the guys that could make it happen.</p>

Or perhaps it's a complete lack of teamwork and understanding. Whatever it is, things just should never become like that in the first place. If this is indeed true, no wonder you hear the same thing all over the Internet: "anything SOE touches turns to crap".

Considering how long it took to get the most recent one (for the Arasai AND Fae).. I doubt they will add more.  With that in mind.. with RoK coming out and the Sarnak coming up.. I decided to hang on to my last characters slot for my sarnak.  I seriously doubt we will get another slot for it.

<p>I'd personally love to have extra toon slots. But I'm not paying double my current subscription for 4 measly slots (they should double the slots if they are doubling the price, I left EQLive and Vanguard for a reason and won't be going back)</p><p>But I fully expect this to happen about the same time that the 8-track tape makes a comeback. </p><p>"Hey Hey Mama said the way you *CLICK* move..."  </p>

<p>It is definitly past time to add more character slots for EQ2 accounts.  Yes, I know that I could double my characters if I pay for a second account, but I don't box, and I don't want to have to keep logging in and out whenever I want to play a new toon.  Also I do NOT want to pay twice as much money for 4 measley character slots and a bunch of crappy games that I won't be playing anyway because I am going to be playing EVERQUEST 2!</p><p>Besides, why should people with the "Station Pass" get more character slots?  Doesn't the idea of the Station Pass infer that those people might be playing other games?  Why should THEY get more characters when the fact is that they may or may not even be playing EQ2 because they have other games on their subscription?!?!?!</p><p>REWARD YOUR DEDICATED, PAYING EVERQUEST 2 PLAYERS WITH MORE CHARACTERS!</p>

<p>This is a three year old thread and the subject has been (sadly) beaten well past death.</p><p>We're going to return this thread to its well earned rest and I will state once again, that at this time, no new character slots will be made available, due to database load.</p>
