View Full Version : +heal amount buggy
I've been unequipping and re-equipping +heal items on the test server. I can't pin it down, but something really weird is going on here. Sometimes equipping an item isn't applying the heal bonus, and sometimes it is. (And yes, I am waiting long enough for the +heal amount to refresh on my tooltips.) Equipping Tunare god cloak (Ivy-shroud of Tunare) gives me absolutely no heal bonus whatsoever (and might be related to the fact that I am wearing another item that gives the exact same +30 heal amount bonus).Touching on my last comment- I think issues also arise if you are equipping two items with the same heal bonus (both items give +10 spell and heal amount, for example). You may need to equip both, unequip one, requip it, etc. in order to get bonuses from both of the items. So the order in which you equip your +heal items seems to be affecting whether you actually get the bonus or not...

This is the same way that +haste items seem to work. If you equip two items that give +haste only the one with the higher bonus counts.
That's not really how haste works..Haste just doesn't stack. So even if you have two different items with two different haste amounts (+20 haste, and +10 haste, for example), you would just have +20 haste, and not +30.

Anybody know if this issue has been looked at/fixed?
I tested +heal out again and it's still really bugged. I remove +30 healing and no change to heals. I wear +30 healing and no change to heals. I remove another +heal item, nothing changes. I remove and wear my +30 healing item again, and NOW I see the change. I remove it, and I still have the affect. It seems almost entirely random.I still think the bugs come from wearing multiple items with the same +heal amount. +heal NEEDS to stack, so if you have two +30 heal items, you should have +60. Please look into this and fix! It cannot go live in the condition it is in now.
Do Devs even read this board? Can't I just get a "yes we realize those are all issues, and are being looked at"? I would really hate for this to be overlooked and implemented in its broken form..

This puts the ticket or bug into their internal database so they can work it.

Thanks a ton for finding this bug for them before it hits live. What a mess that could be.

It's not nearly as bad as you make it out to be. You simply did not have enough tools to test it with. The problem is the one item that you mentioned. Last week I was doing +healing tests with my ten items that increase heals(11 if you count a set effect), and I didn't even notice your problem.Today I tried equipping 4 different +30 healing items and got an expected result(+120). After I put on all of my gear, I had the expected result also. Then I remembered you mentioning one item in particular, the Tunare cloak. Tried taking it on and off with no change. So essentially it ended up that if the cloak is the last +healing item that you put on, it won't affect the examine windows(and possibly heals). Put on or take off any other +healing item after equipping the cloak, and you'll get the proper result.
I don't believe it's just tunare cloak related. I think I had issues with my bracelets as well. When the test server is back up, I'll try again.

Well, 9 of my items work fine alone. I unequipped every single item I have, then looked at the base healing, added an item, looked at the resulting heal, took the item off, looked at the base value again... then continued to the next item. One of my items did not work correctly be itself, and it's the cloak. The Solusek Ro +damage cloak doesn't seem to have any issues however. So it's not the slot specifically that causes the issues, I believe.
+HEAL STILL BROKEN. Can a developer please please confirm this for me?This is NOT an issue with just the tunare cloak. Like I stated before, I think it has to do with similar effects stacking. For example. I have two items: Belt of Ordination (+10 spell and heal amount), and also Earrings of the Bloodlust Handler (also +10 spell and heal amount). TEST:------------------------------------------------Without wearing either of them, the initial heal on sylvan streams is: 695-795I now wear the belt.Amount properly increases to 705-805.I now wear the earring.Amount STAYS at 705-805.I now remove the belt.Amount STAYS at 705-805.I now remove the earring.Amount STAYS at 705-805.I now wear the earring.Amount STAYS at 705-805.I now wear the belt.Amount INCREASES to 715-815.I now remove the belt.Amount DECREASES to 705-805.I now remove the earring.Amount STAYS at 705-805.--------------------------------------------------Similar results can be received by repeating the same test with other +heal items such as the Tunare Cloak and Ancient Bangle of the Unkempt, items that both have +30 heal amount on them.Does everybody see what I'm talking about now? Please keep in mind, the numbers I am posting are taken from the tooltip over sylvan streams. Yes, I did wait a considerable amount of time between each test to ensure that the tooltip had enough time to update. So can a developer confirm- Is this an issue with the +heal affect, and the possibility that it's not stacking correctly with other +heal affects for the same amount? Or is this an issue with the tooltips not correctly displaying the amount your heal heals by?Please confirm, as this is affecting thousands of people (most unknowingly)
Update-The issue lies with the tooltips not updating properly. Simply right clicking and examining the spell will show that +heal is working properly.

I know my input isn't very welcome, but I'm still not having much trouble even on Live.Master II of Grand Restoration.Unequip all... 2015 max.Add a +40 adorned item... 2055.Add a +40 adorned item... 2095.Remove a +40 adorned item... 2055.Remove a +40 adorned item... 2015.Add an item with +30... 2045.Remove an item with +30... 2015.Add an item with +30... 2045.Add an item with +30... 2075.Add an item with +30... 2105.Remove an item with +30... 2075.Add an item with +30... 2105.Add an item with +30... 2105. (Tunare Cloak)Cast a healing spell forcing an update... 2135.I'll skip the tests involving my +10, +15, +20 and +35 healing items since they have no pairs and I can put on all of my gear for the correct amount anyhow.Putting on my items one at a time yields no bugs except for the Tunare Cloak which is circumvented if that item is not the last equipped. Even if it is, as soon as you cast a healing spell, the examine window updates correctly. So I still say it's not nearly as bad as you make it out to be. At best select items don't update immediately, and casting a spell will fix it. There is a similar issue with macro equipping +damage items people say, but it is also cleared up by casting a spell.

I have to concur with Aditu...I am seeing the same results as he.
I think BOTH of you replied without reading my last post? Yeah....Wearing the cloak just doesn't update the tooltips properly, as it has to do with the client side not knowing when to update the tooltips. So right click examine, and you'll see the tunare cloak does indeed work properly, as do all the other +heal items.

I was writing my post when you made your reply, if you'll check the timestamps. So there was nothing to read at the time.
