Posted on the VN EQ2 boards is a screen shot in a group of screen shots for Rise of Kunark. In this screen shot are 3 Iksar. The middle Iksar to his right has a Scaled Wolf Pup next to him.Why is this teasing? Because the Scaled Wolf Pup is a Beastlord pet from EQ1. The Beastlord being my favorite character in all of Everquest. I made a Beastlord the day Luclin came out and never put him away while playing another 5 years of EQ1.SOE, why do you tease me so?

There is a Beatlord Anonymous group that meets together every Friday. I'll get you the number.

I used to play a Vah'shir Beastlord on eq1.I would LOVE to see them back. But ain't going to happen. /sigh.But on topic, the scaled wolf pup. Wasn't it also just a normal mob in eq1? So they might be around still, but the Beastlords are not.

They can't even balance the classes they already have... I doubt they will add another class to the game.

Do the guard hyenas in FP and guard wolves in Qeynos tease you too? It's just a guard dog...

If you miss your Beastlord, try a mystic and spec it for melee through AA.It's pretty similar, just your pet isn't anywhere near as good.

I don't Imagine it would be too hard. Take a basic monk remove the half the kicks, Haste, FD, and Windwalk. Substitue Pet Summon, Timed Pet buffs (DPS or pet only ward that builds aggro BL), Ice or Disease AoE's, and have mend do double duty as the pet heal with a 1 minute timer. They would be a Devastation Fist user being a Brawler

Then again I think that Shadowknights should be allowed to have their pets be permanant as well, might bring them up to Paladins and other tanks.

So they used a new model for the pet that follows the guards...I dont get what the deal is.

Is true that that was the pet of the iksar beastlord but beastlord where able to use only Blunt weopons(crushing in eq2) and that iksar is wearing a sword and a axe. So there goes the beastlord theory hehe either he is a guard with a dog like does in FP and Qnos, or the beastlord spent their hiding training with scouts and gain the ability to use piercing and slashing weopons lol

That wolf isn't even walking, it's standing next to the guard

Pretty sure it is walking actually... but I think the iksar in the middle is an NPC roaming guard... we have plenty of guards in the old cities who have trained dogs... not sure why Iksar can't have them too.
