Why would these be disabled on pvp servers?

1. Character Appearance. We can finally diversify the way we look and have an effect on the outcome. The graphics in the game are nice. The armor/clothing in the game look about 10 years outdated. Horrid. Blue pants, grey chest and red arms? please.... This is one of the biggest complaints my friends have about EQ2 that quit the game a long time ago. Even at endgame...you look like a level 17 in mis matched gear that doesnt look epic or fabled or even legendary in the slightest. Its really messy, and as happy as i am to see a fix years later...your going to block it from pvp........sometimes it feels like you TRY to lose subscriptions.

2. Exploits - if i understand this correctly, as soon as you equip the item in the fluff slot..all stats are gone..permanetly. With that said, why can pvp servers not participate? If its implemented correctly everything will be fine. Exploits and cheating arnt things that players create...its flaws in the code that *you* design. Now, im 100% against exploiting or cheating in any way, shape or form..but thats the truth. Take an extra week and check the code to make sure stats cant be added or changed in any way. All you have to do is do your job correctly...thats it. Its what your paid to do, do it.

3. Confusing/Hard for New Players - This is the most common response ive seen so far and it really really disturbs me. If you were worried about confusing or bothering new players you would have gotten rid of twinking/level locking a LONG LONG time ago. So please, dont use this as an excuse. We've been told its disabled untill level 20 anyway. If you are wanting to please new players on pvp servers and you think that keeping this addition to the game will help them even in the slightest smidgen you are totally wrong. If you want to help new players enjoy the game and the pvp environment then you are in the wrong part of the woods my friend. No new players like this system. Some stay, most dont. People like to fight on even grounds. A new level 17 player would like to fight another level 17 player that doesnt have 7 times more health than him...but you refuse to change that part of the game...and yet you limit this.....

4. Confusing/game breaking for current players- I just had to laugh when i see a few posts saying "NO! I need to see what my opponent is wearing!!" Oh ffs please!!! Do you actually believe that nonsense????? Twinks are saying NO because they will have a harder time telling whos a twink and who aint a twink. That means a possible loss of their precious title. Therefore, they will SCREAM no FOREVER with insane remarks and made-up reasons as to why this shouldnt be implemented. You, as designers, really need to sit back and think who's feeding you the information...and why they say what they say. I guarantee you, things are not as they seem.

5. Illusion Forms - What is the difference? Nobody can see our gear when we are in an illusion? Heck, some illusions make us as small as a fruit fly....but thats ok too? There are 500 ways to change your appearance as an illusion in this game....but pvp'ers are worried they wont be able to see the gear their opponent is wearing? GIVE ME A BREAK! Its twinks that are scared they wont know who and who isnt twinked.....cant you see that?? The title system has gone way to far and is driving people insane! AT least let us disable the pvp titles. Sheesh.

In closing, i would just like to add that yes we all know Nagafen is more populated than Venekor. However, you could add those servers together and still not have the population of a pvp server on other games. Its not because pvp'ers dont like EQ2. Its not because EQ2 is a bad game. EQ2 has the most enjoyable questing and pve system ive ever played, but...the pvp system is a horrid mess. Thats why the population is the way it is. Pvp players *are* the majority of the MMO crowd now. If you need proof, head on over to the "other" game and find out for yourself.

Thats a big chunk of profit your missing out on. Do you really want to lose even more? Most players are so fed up by now that the slightest thing will send them to another MMO. Now, alot of people will say "who cares! lettem go! can i have ur stuff haha lolz!" However, you and i both know that with no population, servers close down. I tried to tell you guys a long time ago. Since then, youve had to even consolidate servers just to keep from losing more players. You didnt listen then, will you listen now?

We will see.

P.S.

Echgar, i think you've taken your forum moderation job a little to seriously. Let the people speak and stop deleting/moving threads. We pay your salary, how bout a little respect? thanks

If you can't post your criticism without attacking my mods, I won't be able to not resist locking your thread. There is a right way to voice your idea on the appearance tab. This is not it.
