Character Restore Question

<p>Why is there allowed only 1 character restore on an account?  I made the mistake of deleting characters on my account because I thought I was going to quit this game for good but now want to return to the game and was denied character restoration because I was given one already.  This policy makes no sense and will only keep people from returning who have done the same thing I did.  I mean there are character transfer services available why not make a character restore service?  </p>

<p>No offense intended but why would you delete your characters if you planned on leaving the game? Why not just leave them as is?</p><p>At any rate, you could always contact a live representative and discuss this with them but there's not really anything anyone can do for you here. Their policy is clearly stated in the Knowledge Base and I'm not really sure what they would consider "extenuating circumstances" so contacting SoE directly would be the only possible solution.</p><p>Also note that a character transfer has nothing to do with the mechanics of restoring a deleted character. With the transfer all character information is still present while with the character deletion that information would be purged. It's much more difficult if not impossible at a certain point for them to recover the purged info that would be needed in order to restore a character. This of course wouldn't be the case with character transfer requests. One has nothing to do with the other. Sorry.</p>

Good points but I still think they should allow more than one character restoration on an account.  It was a bad decision to delete the character and now I'm be willing to pay a service fee to get the character restored.  I think that on the character creation screen there should be a warning and a link to the policy about deleting characters because people delete characters all the time not knowing about this policy.

I wasnt aware that you could restore a character once it had been deleted

<p>It would have had to of been pretty much right away...That information would be lost forever within a small period of time.</p><p>Also remember ""extenuating circumstances" must apply as well.</p>

If you delete a character, it's deleted.Be thankful that they will be prepared to restore one character if the wind is blowing in the right direction and (by some miracle) it's not been overwritten by other players files.You <b>do</b> have to confirm deletion by typing the full characters name, correctly capitalised.  It's not something you can click on as a whim.

<p>dawy, </p><p>If I were you I would atleast try.  You have to file a petition.  In the game type /petition and make the topic of your petition Character Restore Issue.  Also if you think that we should be allowed to restore more than once on an account do a /feedback in game asking for it.  If enough people want this we can get that policy changed.  </p>
