I'm a returning player from a year ago. I never bought any expansions, and upon rerolling and attaining level 16 I realized I have no access to the AA screen(when I press L nothing happens). From the character profile screen, I have an AA icon, but nothing happens when I click on it.

What do I need to do? Register an expansion? Which? Will I get AA credit for past discoveries and quests on this character?

You need to have Echoes of Faydwer expansion as a minimum.

I believe I have EoF, as I can start in DL as a dark elf, and use Neriak. Was AA introduced with KoS? I don't think I have that expansion.

EoF gets you the whole kit & kaboodle.

It doesn't start until you hit level 10.

To my understanding (feel free to correct me as I am still learning) You need Kingdom of Sky for the Archetype tree (50 pts) and Echoes of Faydwer for the Class tree (50 pts). Once you have these expansions you start earning AA experience at level 10.

**Edit: of course if you buy the EoF all-in-one pack you'll have both of those.

Yes, I'm level 16, still no AA screen. I'll check out my subscription tonight and see what expansions I have/don't have.

If you get the EoF or KoS expansions, you will begin collecting AA points, but you will not receive retroactive points for quests/discoveries that you have already done.

Also make sure that you have downloaded the extra content. When you first log in and are at the PLAY button screen. Look on the lower left side?? and there should be an option or download something choice. (Sorry I am at work :> )

Neriak is not part of EoF. It is part of the base game. It just happened to be released recently. You need expansions to get AA, and everything that you have said indicates that you have no expansions.

be sure to buy a BOX VERSION of EoF (and not digital download from sony's store).

The BOX VERSION contains EOF as well as all other expansions (DOF and KOS). The digital download of EoF doesn't contain the other expansions.... and they cost the same amount. lol

If EOF isn't carried in actual stores in your area, you can buy it online and have it mailed to you instead.

They recently added a "full download" option that includes all the expansions for US$40:http://www.direct2drive.com/6/4362/...lation-DownloadWhat would be nice would be if people that didn't have expansions started earning AAs at the normal level but just would not be able to spend them. This would ensure that when they bought the expansions later, they would be able to use AAs, rather than be level 50 and have already used up all the pre-50 AA potential. On the other hand, they wouldn't have used up any of the expansion AA potential, so there would still be plenty I suppose.
