Rainbow circle on ground

 What are the rainbow circle on the ground I see every once in awhile? What can I do with them?

You can buy Scrying Stones that you can use standing in the circle. You will either get some loot, attacked by a skeleton or both <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I can't remember all the places you can buy them but I get mine form the docks in Thundering Steppes

<p>There's a quest in Thundering Steppes around them. A female NPC gives you scrying stones to find some stuff for her. I used all mine up without finding a single item. You can buy more but I couldn't be bothered. God knows how many you have to find to finish the quest. Or perhaps I was unlucky.</p><p>edit: Actually I think this quests comes from the second of the series of quests given by the postman at the entrance to TS. You have to deliver mail to the female NPC and she wants you to find stuff using the scrying stone. You can't take her return mail until you do the quest. So, having not finished the quest means I didn't get to do the rest of the postman series.</p>

The 'evil' version of the Scrying Stone instructional quest is in Nektulos Forest, to the right hand side of the N'Marr's Ascent ramp when you pass Blackwater Lake.  She is there with two male 'fighting' NPC's.

I've gotten a training book from these rainbows, but havent been able to use it as it required to kill a certain # of a certain mob that I hadn't come across (lavawalkers I think). Are the training books worth lugging around until I find the mobs? what sort of reward does one get from completing them?
