you re worried about frostfell when a new expansion is due that will be buged to the core, i d rather see them not waste any ressource on frostfell/halloween in order to have a somewhat less bugged new expansion. and i m not mentioning spell consolidation that is scaring me to hell.

I have seen no Dev state that the new expansion will be released bug-ridden, and I for one would like to see a link to the article that backs up this claim of a bug-ridden release of RoK.To return this back on topic, I am really looking forward to Halloween and Frostfell this year. I hope that it will be fresh new content along with some of the things that we ran out of time to get, from previous years. I'd like to see as someone elsewhere posted that possibly this Halloween we could have a Live event to rebuild the McQuibble Farm and perhaps some evil / good force tries to hinder / help in the effort and the evil / good player(s) have to help / stop said evil force. For Frostfell, I'd like to see the actual Frostfell Elves village as a NEW zone where players could go to celebrate the holiday. New quests / vendors / tredeskill stations could all be there, along with social things for those that like to get into the spirit of the season.

Maybe be able to use up all the left over Frostfell crap on the vendors. Amazing people still put that stuff up. Normally I just buy it for a few copper and destroy it.

I would like to see more live events anyway.

I'm guessing they'll pretty much be replica's of last year's and the year before.

im hopnig that instead of scrooge guy it could be some other story i dunno...santa lost his presents and u have to kill creatures to find them in chests, a group instance too where they can drop 6 fabled items that ur group can eg.."blessed hand of mr.frosty":summons 4"snowy bards" each snowy bard has the effect "dance with me" everyone who comes within 10 metres starts dancing

I would like to see them bring back the quest where you would use a "bag of snowballs" for pulling but have it so it works on player characters outside the instance (I just don't have the room in bank for all the stacks of snowballs). :P

That would be downright stupid marketing and probably endanger their job. The fact is though, the expansions generally get pushed out prematurely and do contain bugs and lack of proper balance. Ever since they made Emerald Halls persistent, it seems to have the habit of crashing the entire raid simultaneously. That's just one zone. Imagine an entire expansion of content.....

As for not having enough time, well the last expaintion had 7 tiers worth of content, this one will have 3, the last one had about 10 months total dev time, this one will have 12 minimum. The last one was nearly bug free, this one seeing as they are building on what is already in place instead of adding new systems, they have more time to work on it, and they are willing to put of pieces and have them come out in LUs if they are not ready. I would say that yes RoK will be nearly bug free.

Granted Holloween '05 and '06 where nearly Identical but the Frostfell's where completly differant, even down to the quests, and gifts.

One thing I would like to see this frostfell is actual snow. They already have snowdrifts in snow zones like Everfrost it seems to be the foilage of the zone, could they possibly use it in other zones and make special nodes like the crafted snowdrift and possibly add the Everfrost weather patterns to other zones?

Oh no... I remember both Halloween and Frostfell 2005 AND 2006. I can't believe I've been playing EQ2 so long.I don't expect them to make many changes to all the standard zones... it would be neat, but take way to much development work, and as others have said... with RoK just out the door, there will be plenty of things for them to work on. A more probably Frostfell will take place in the same instance (The Everfrost Bay), and include many of the same characters, but there will likely be revisions/changes to last years quest or possibly a completly new quest. Expect variations on a theme this year, not a new theme. But the snowballs will be forever.

We need to finally duke it out, carebears v's the scrooges. A santa avatar in Antonica and a grinch in the commonlands with quests and or raids to steal the presents. If the grinch has more presents at the end we cancell frostfell.

I don't see how it would be that much work Everfrost already had snowdrifts for it's floral effect and snow for it's weather effects, so they are already in the system they just have to switch the effects to all city zones and T2 lands (and Sinking sands and Pillars of flame)
