Hi there, I currently have an HP a420n PC with an AMD 2600+ cpu and am looking into a cost effective upgrade.<div></div><div>If I found another motherboard and cpu that would fit in the case with the same memory, video card and hard disk requirements could I just swap them out and re-use the hard disk, memory, video card etc. as is ?</div><div></div><div>Or would I need to reload XP etc. ?</div><div></div><div>Thanks.</div>

Careful - HP is pretty much known for utilizing non-standard equipment inside their machine when it comes to motherboards, PSU connectors, etc.  Would suggest that you verify with the vendor that what ever MB you purchase will fit inside the case. A good case and psu are not that expensive
