sentry watch question (pvp)

was wondering if anyone can clarify this spell for me.....after reading the description and then reading the effects....i was left confused a bit.does the group member have to die?....or does he reach death and then is brought back to life and his attacker is now focused on the guardian?

When ANY party member dies (you don't cast it on a specific person, it's a group buff) you get moved forward in hate one position, so if you aren't second ranked on the hate list of the mob killing your party member you still won't get aggro. But it helps a lot.

Any group member reaches death and then is brought back to life with his attacker now focused on the guardian.It's basically impossible to kill a guardian's group member when stonesphere and sentry watch are up.
