Does anyone know a good library for reading Queen's Colony lore? I've decided to never leave the island (roleplay reasons) so I figured that I might as well read up on every information there is.

When EQ first launched, there wasn't a "Queen's Colony," only the Isle of Refuge. Apparently, there are several islands in this area of the sea, so I suppose they should have been called Isles of Refuge. Anyways, they were all under the direction of the Far Seas Trading Company. The one you started out on was run by a Duke (can't recall his exact name), and their express purpose was to train adventurers, who they would ship to either Qeynos or Freeport.

Some time ago, the overhauled the Isles of Refuge (by the time of launch, they had segregated the islands by city, but each one still had virtually the same NPCs, same quests, same mobs, only one NPC was different, the city ambassadors, though from their speeches, I think that in beta, there was one island for both Qeynos and Freeport), and during this Overhaul, the Isle of Refuge disappeared, and was replaced by the Queen's Colony, and the Outpost of the Overlord. All the history regarding these new settlements is given on the island. With the Queen's colony, it appears to be a recently settled island which was inhabited by goblin tribe, but things started going bad. With the Outpost of the Overlord, it was an empty island, but by the time they got their outpost set up, Qeynosian (the Tunarian Alliance, to be exact) had started infiltrating, and causing trouble for the envoys of the Overlord. Don't think either is much deeper than that.

Real shame, because I loved the way the game started in the beginning, and the layout of the zone made much more sense as an established outpost of the Far Seas Trading Company than as some supposed newly started settlements by the two superpowers in the world. Ah well.

Having never made an evil character for the Isle of the Overlord, I never knew what was going on there. So the Tunarian Alliance was thier problem over there? At least with the goblins on Queen's Colony, they make some diplomatic progress in making peace.

My only annoyance is they both use the same map for all three islands.
