I've had this idea for a while, and have mentioned it in a few threads.I know basically we'll never have actual flying mounts, but what about mounts that hover across the ground like fae/carpets? My idea is that if you have a baby dragon (of any color), you can have the option of using the egg to turn it into a mount at any time, and be able to place it back in your home at any time if you wish to not use it as a mount for a while. The mount would (naturally) be a dragon, the color of the one you own. I know the price would sky-rocket even higher then they are now (if you're lucky enough to see one on the broker that is), but that would make it just that much more rare. I think this is possible, because the egg would act just as a whistle. /shrugPersonally I would kill to be able to ride around on a blue and pink dragon. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />" />What do you guys think?

And for Marr's sake... if you make a "flying" mount... like a carpet... give it FAY GLIDE... nothing like "flying" off a cliff on a "flying" carpet and PLUMMETING to your death...

I like the Baby Dragon idea, but no mount should be given such a huge advantage such as fae glide, even if you're a fae or arasai.

I like the idea of dragon mounts. Heh mostly because I have a baby dragon. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I see no problem with giving them safe fall either so long as every hovering type mount gets the same treatment. I agree that it makes no sense to fall to your death on a carpet that is hovering about the ground all the time.

To me it doesn't matter if we get safe fall or not with a carpet or dragon, my safefall is already so high with buffs/AA/cloak it doesn't really matter.

i think that there should be some uber hard quest for 70's to kill an epic dragon and steal its young - then u can hand in and get one of the eggs u stole and use that to "hatch"  your dragon mount

Guys, you are all really new to this game, ill tell you how it works:Once you reach 25000 plat you will get a quest:Teh real end of teh Wuoshi. In this quest you will have to kill Wuoshi all by yourself, happy im an inquisitor so this was a cake of piece for me, and right after you done that you must go to Pillars of Flames, the island where the contested whats-his-name dragon pops, and once you get there a merchant will pop, you will be able to purchase ridable Wuoshi there for 25000 plat. This is the final result, if you give him the right food he may fly for 5 minutes.<img src="http://img248.imageshack.us/img248/917/eq2000153hm3.jpg" alt="" border="0" />

The only way I that SOE would put in a dragon mount (or any other for that matter), is for it to some way to avialable for everyone (Though it may be hard to get), not just a few people who own an item from a few years ago.

<p>I love the idea of a Dragon mount but it cannot be tied to the Baby Dragon. They are already at stupid prices on most servers now. Making them a mount would put them into the 100's of plat on most servers.</p><p>No, I am not being bitter, I have 8 of them. <img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /></p>

Raising a dragon from egg to flying mount.Yes!But make it like a tamagotchi: You have to take care 24h / 7days. And you have to feed the right stuff: Milk and mice at the beginning; sheep and gnomes later. The dragon has to grow to adult age (about 250+ in game years) to be able to carry a person. If your dragon hatchling dies because it didn't take care enough... well you can start over.

LOL I let my tamagotchi die, my boyfriend ended up feeling bad for it and keeping it alive. hahaha

<p>My girlfriend and I have thought of this before also.  A way around the fact that not everyone has a baby dragon is to implement a questable dragon mount, and then allow those that are lucky enough to have a baby dragon to right-click it to add a visual bonus (a choice of special colors, ornate saddle, different wing pattern, etc..)</p><p>Sure people will still whine about it, but it's still fair as a bonus for those who've stayed with the game long enough to have one.</p>

so this is my idea you can ether a train you dragon as a mount or b as a super uber summon or c a mount that doubles as a super uber summon so what u have to do is feed it and make sure it dosent die or get herpes or anything dosent sleep with some skank dragon and once it get to a certain point themn you canstart using it as a summon which you have to trrain to adult hood that means having it eat a whole bunch of rats themn beers and goblins and u cant feed it food that its ilurgic to and stuff but once its grown no worrys it will eat and kill everything just as long as it dosent get dragon aids

Back when they introduced the baby dragons they said they could become more....  Now years later it still walks around my house.  It would be nice if I could do something with him or grow him up somehow.  Maybe require me to gather rares or something or create some quest to grow him.  I don't think the quest should be to hard as there are not many baby dragons and tons of other mounts to choose from.  If the quest was to hard people just might stick to traditional mounts.  My horse can already fae glide thanks to a cloak I picked up in EH and the carpet and warg quests are pretty easy.

<p>Because Dragons are rare super-intelligent, super-powerful immortal beings. They're not going to let some Ratonga (or, God forbid, Fae) lead them around on a leash.</p>
