I'm wanting a class that can solo and farm gold for my guardian, since he kinda sucks solo. : I have a monk friend who seems to do well, but he says it can get expensive (even more so than with a guardian) to level a monk. So I was wondering if this was a good class to solo and farm with.

Short answer is yes.

Longer reply: Yes. Leather is generally cheaper than plate. STR line gives buff to barefisted i.e. no weapon fighting. Saves money becuase you basicly get a free pair of Legandary weapons that get better as you get stronger. and Feign Death and Invis make it easy to get around.

To productivly farm as a monk - You will either need a healer with you. (Dangerous)

Or you will have to farm with one other monk.. You will both have to coordinate betwen aggro, FD, Heals, Pulls..(That is your safest bet)

(Also, if you're farming with your monk - You better be farming names.. We aren't wizards so we can't really make uber cash farming trash mobs... )

-Taiken

Soloing for exp is different from farming named.Monk can fd so that you can train to named then fd or fd when you are dying. However, don't expect killing named with crap gear as monk. Your friend is right. If the purpose is to farm named/gold for your guardian, you will be disappointed.
