Just started my first scout, a swashy. In PVE, I do more damage than I ever have with any other toon. I am still under level 20, and thought since I was on a PVP server that I would go try to PvP some. So far, I really suck. I mean bad.

Alot of it has to do with my level of skill in playing this type of class. But when I look at the combat logs, I am landing almost everything, but at a heavily mitigated value. For instance my AOE is a m2 and does I think up to 150 in PvE but has yet to break over 60 in PvP.

So while I am dancing around, stunning, back stabbing and unleashing, most player's health drops real slow. On Healers, forget about it. I can't kill a fricken green healer with my swash.

That said; I go down really quick. I have ok gear, decent spells, but I don't think with even masters, I can burn someone down before they can heal themselves. Unless they suck, which most lowbie twinks on Nagafen don't

Therefore, instead of AGI, WIS, I thought that STR and STA may be the ticket. My wife plays a fury, but spends most of her time healing me instead of DPS'ing.

Any thoughts or is this THE [Removed for Content] spec for a swashie?

EDIT: I completely misread the OP question.

It isn't you. The problem is that low level twinking is almost an art form for some people, and they make these toons able to kill PC's 10 levels above them. Once they get rid of level locking this will no longer be an issue as these toons will eventually level up from just PvPing and outlevel their fabled t2 gear. Until then, just outlevel them and get to t7 as quickly as possible, or twink yourself out. =/

I dont really think your problem is your spec, it's that you are playing vs. a bunch of level locked twinks. I personally like STA line, but I've only ever used it in T7. It's real nice playing vs. melees, but playing against like say Wardens would kind of suck trying to spike them out with Inspiration without Wisdom's double attack, so I think I'd go Sailwind at least for CA spamming abilities.

I like the Str/Sta line. Only thing I don't like is using Walk the Plank on PCs and it doesnt make them turn around so I can backstab them.... other than that... PVP Swashy FTW!

if you were a brig, id say yea! str/sta! But for a swash i suggest AGI/STA. You only get cheap shot as a stun as a swashbuckler. Walk the Plank is going to be GREAT for you to get off those back attacks, especialy since the side/back mitigation debuff/damage pops faster than cheap shot does. And sailwind? swash already have way faster cooldowns than a brig, with sailwind forget about it! you can spam those like crazy!

And yea, killing a healer at that level is impossible due to them twinking, They have almost infinate mana Once you hit t4 (30-39) you'll notice a huge difference. I did something odd, I started as a brigand, went to swashbuckler (betrayed, didnt reroll), then betrayed back to brigand. So I kinda played both sides, mind you I like the brig better, and am STR/STA built, but I dont need walk the plank with 3 stuns. I demolish healers now. Am in fully MC gear with master I CAs, and I tear them apart. They get heals over time but brigs get damage over times to counter em like shank and hidden shiv >=) As a swashy you'll be dishing out a ton more damage due to the mitigation debuffs as well. Just hang in there and get past 30, you'll see the difference. at 33 I took a group of three level 26-28 in nektulos including a fury as a swashbuckler sta/agi specced.
