View Full Version : Unrest and guardian gear

At this point of my guardian's career, I've been raiding Labs on weekly basis and I was wondering how does the guardian gear from Unrest compare to Labs? Is there guardian drop in Unrest that's really worth farming or can I just stick to Labs? Here's why I ask: Unrest takes just as long, if not longer (I have yet to finish an Unrest run due to its length), as a Labs raid. So, in my limited knowledge about guardian drops in Unrest, I don't see the point of me going there when I have a better chance at Fabled gear from Labs. At this time, the only non-fabled items my guardian has are: chest, hands, belt, feet and shoulders (shoulders are from claymore and its mit and stats are very nice) Any suggestions or comments please?

Are you referring to the KoS relic, compared to the EoF legendary armor set? In theory both should be compete well and get you started on EoF raids. In practice and from a casual view I prefer relic, but compare yourself: KoS Relic: http://lootdb.com/?t=item&q=mit...an&s=Search EoF Legendary: http://lootdb.com/?t=item&q=Str...in&s=Search

There is also a decent ring, buckler(if you're specced STA), belt and cloak that Unrest drops that are decent if you don't have anything too great.

My problem with Unrest is the time it takes to finish. I can handle a Labs raid (3+ hrs) and I know I can get a chance at FABLED gear, but I don't think the time invested in Unrest (4+ hrs) is worth the legendary stuff from there. So, I'm debating weather I should put effort in that zone or just keep going to Labs raids instead. As for the buckler, I was able to purchase that buckler from someone.

Other than the buckler this is all I use from Unrest. Otherwise Labs would be the way to go IMO. Especially if you are in a guild raid. That way your whole raid force is getting upgraded and raid experienced.

So, from what I'm getting from some of you...for my personal gain, I'll stick to Labs and I'll visit Unrest to help out a guildie or a friend.

One time through for the AA is nice too if you aren't at 100.

that ring isn't even that great imo.Unrest shouldn't take more than 2 hours with a decent group once you know the zone.Only thing I really thought was worth running through there for was the cleric legendary and the buckler (I'm STA specced).Just build your unrest group for DPS, can't go in there with a mishmash of people and get through.

If you want to minimize time to complete Unrest, find 5 other people who know the zone and tag along with them on your first couple trips as a dps and not the tank. If you go in without knowing the zone as the tank, it's going to go extremely slow, even if the other 5 people already know the zone.

As others have stated, if you go in with a guild group and you have good dps.. 2 hours is pretty easy if you pull fast and you have limited afk's. Personally I use the ring/buckler and BP. I was reluctant to switch from my relic BP to it, but truthfully I get more HP's and more avoidance from it since has the +6 to parry.

I dont know any rings that have + mit and defense and high HP's .. that drop from labs.. I could be wrong though. If there is a better ring then help me and the op out ...

As others have said; With the right group, Unrest takes 2-3 hours.

That ring is the sole reason I go into Unrest. Though it is a bit rare so don't expect it to drop right away.

I've always felt the tank loot in Unrest is poor compared to the drops for other classes.

They seem to think that tanks value 1% avoidance or a 200dmg proc as much as a mage values 8% more damage across all spells and 10% faster reuse times. I'd swap the melee unrest cloak for a version of the mage one that procs on CAs any day.

It's reflected in the way Unrest groups are perpetually looking for tanks; all mages want the wand since it's an end-game item. All priests and mages want the cloak too. I think the bow for scouts is the best one that isn't fabled in the game, and Tanks... well the buckler is okay, but the buckler of the howler is way better and not that hard a raid. Other than that no drop is better than labs, and you're better with a deity cloak.

There is also the cloak with the hate proc, not sure how that rates though.Cape of Vikomt aITEM 159279298 514476827:Cape of the Vikomt/a

Mixed up 2 cloaks here, I cant seem to do 2 things at once, not even think/plan for 2 chars (guard and conj). The Vikomt cloak dropped from a guildie about 10 days a go so its still on its loot table. The cloak I was mixing up was the cloak of unrest. For the loot table for Unrest:http://www.lootdb.com/eq2/zone/The+...state+of+UnrestAlthough I dont know how complete or accurate it is.Gr.Del
