View Full Version : Combat Animations race specific?

Greetings all,

I was wondering, prior to picking a race for a new bruiser, do the combat animations differ from race to race? or are they tied to class? There are several races that I am toying with, but in the end, if the combat animation (lets face it, that is what you will be looking at over and over) is silly or goofy looking for a particular race I will likely shy away from them.

Basically, I have a few Iskar already, and will likely make another for this toon (as I just think they are the best looking model to look at...and one of my lizzies is a fury so he is always a wolf or lion anyways ) but also toying with Ogre or Kerran, but again all of this is dependant on combat style animations. Thanks in advance all.

Animations are not based on class. They seem to be based on the weapon you wield, and one of several standard flavors of animations assigned to various combat arts. In a few cases (such as monks vs. bruisers) there is a class-based difference (monks are kung-fu-ish unarmed, brutes are fisticuffs unarmed, but both armed are the same once they pick up a bo or fighting sticks, for example).

Race will not factor in
