Why am I having such a hard time finding a recent "How To" article for getting started on the Test Server? I'd instinctively expect a sticky post in this board or a revision to the Playing on the Test Server FAQ page that includes the information about the New PvP Test Server (now New PvE Test Server as per Test Update Notes: Wednesday, August 15th 2007).

I eventually found my way to the <EQ2installpath>TestServerTestServerHelp.txt file and think I have this worked out. (FYI: The eqiiforums link needs to be updated in the TestServerHelp.txt file.)

I gather I run "/testcopy add" when logged in as the character I want to copy to the test server(s)? Does it go to both test servers or only the new one? Can you not copy a live character to the old test server? Then when you're in I've seen a lot of posts about Fluffy and strange test twinking mobs in QH and EFP.

It appears to join the testing community one must pass a technical aptitude test as a right of passage. I feel the testing community may get a bit more participation if the test server information was compiled and a little easier to find. /wink

Its located on the bottom right corner of the window that displays where you would hit the large "Play" button.

Thank you! Another great tidbit for the FAQ page if you ask me. I noticed that button and remembered reading something about it a long time ago but, decided to leave it alone since I couldn't easily find any documentation about it and the FAQ and text file didn't say anything about it.
