i would like to know if anybody has any ideas on what the best non-raid swash gear might be..specifically weapon/weapons. I am currently using Modinthalis with a life tap adornment. any ideas on a better 1H?

I would say the Ancient Velium Rapier. While it's technically a raid weapon because it drops in Deathtoll, they can usually be found on the broker.

Droag Kukri - t7 collection (medium droag claws) Ballad Blade - Nizara Don't use anything with a 1.6 or lower delay unless you have sailwind and love to button mash.

droag kukri is a level 62 sword with low damage, not the best at 70. i personally think that modinthalis is better than velium sword. please feel free to explain if you think they are better.

There is the legendary version of the Soulfire Gladius (Lucanic Gladius?) for a 1-hander and the Sabre for a dual wield. No raids required.

...I personally switch between the Droag Kukri (nice damage, long delay) and Empowered Ghoulbane (great procs, but short delay) depending upon the situation/group make-up/mob/boss at the moment.

.....Im working on getting the Lucanic Gladius/Sabre (part of the Sword of Destiny rewards prior to kissing Mayong on the lips...lol).

The velium weapons have some limitations since they have a 1.2 delay, and if I remember correctly the shortest delay will be 0.8 seconds with haste. (This doesn't take into account Double attacks/ripostes as those my give you what appears to be a lower delay.) So if you are in a group and your haste proc will be on most of the time, plus your haste items and other classes haste spells, you will probably exceed the maximum haste for the velium weapon. However if you are just soloing your haste proc won't be up much since it goes off when you get hit so this isn't a bad weapon to use in those situations and the Velium shards proc does a decent amount of damage. If you are in groups where you don't get any haste spells and have limited haste items yourself, you probably won't see much difference than with a weapon with a 1.6 or higher delay. I used a Velium spear for a good while until I found something better and was still at the top in raid parses most of the time.

Callus

Droag Kukri is the best non-raid weapon i've used besides the ballad blade out of nizara. A xegonite voulge is a similar alternative but a closer damage spread (also 2.5 delay)

I read somewhere that the Dark Linger out of OoB is supposed to be pretty nice after the D/W changes.

It's been stated by devs and I've personally tested it out on my monk, but having weapon delays that low only benefits a rogue with Sailwind who likes to spam CA's.
