I don't know much lore around the Fae besides the fact that they'r enew to the game but claim to be here all along, and I'm not sure the REAL reason the Teir'Dal came form the Koada'Dal.

How exactly did the Arasai come to be? YOu know how they say a High Elf king and Queen were tortured for a span of 300 years by Innoruuk and the Dark Elves were born, could that perhaps be how Queen Cristanos created the Arasai? She captured Fae and twisted and bent them to her sick twisted will?

Yeah part of the Innoruuk diety questline involves snatching up fae spirit buds for the purpose of corrupting them. Christanos ran with that idea.

In Neriak there is a libeary. In there is a clickable book that tells the history of that race as well as giving them the one travel form spell that the Fae themselves have. Basically, the Fae born from the captured spirit buds were tourchered till they died, and when they got reborn, the torment continued.

This kind of thing has a very long tradition, going back to Tolkien's writings at the least. In his mythology, the orcs were elves corrupted by Morgoth (technically Melkor at the time, as he hadn't been given the other name until he stole the Silmarils IIRC), and I wouldn't be surprised if Tolkien himself got the idea from even earlier myths & legends.
