View Full Version : Have our cake and eat it too...
So I was thinking what I might like to see come along the pike in EQ2. Obviously we have the newest free addition with Neriak and Darklight Woods...new race..nice touch. And we have Kunark coming which should be fun...new race...nice again. But I would love to see devs put out some more adventure packs. I know they are going to stop them, but even if they do it as live updates like they did with Neriak, that's fine, just bring em. Additionally I would love to see "sitting and lying" in furniture come about after the skeletal updates are in place. I sincerely hope devs are planning to do that. Some may think the "sim" aspect isn't worthwhile, but there are plenty of us who do think it is worthwhile. I had this idea where there could some instanced content specifically designed for solo players. It would be 100% instanced and could be a dungeon crawl or something. You could hire on henchmen for the solo instance only and could have fun, level up and get some middle range to top end gear in the end. I wouldn't want to see it become the whole game, just like an adventure pack in size. Imagine if you could travel to an instanced tavern filled with NPC's. You could talk to different NPC's, hire on some henchmen and do quests. The tavern could be your base of operations and eventually you could unlock player housing or pets or house items for outside the instance. Finally I would LOVE to see top notch premier mega player housing. All instanced. Imagine in the middle of a dangerous zone is an Arcane tower. You click on the door and enter your instanced house. It would cost lot's of status and plat, plus have a level requirement on it. But it would be a premier house with maybe 5-10 rooms. You could have a mountaintop keep for melee classes and a hidden thieves then for scout classes. These premier houses could also be guild halls instead.
