I havent really been too much of a fan of the Nest but I hear how so many people with different classes have soloed it. So I went in there to give it a try. Now most everything in there is easy enough except for the last guy. I can survive his attacks and attack him at the same time but no matter what I tried I have always ran out of power. He has so much hit points that at best I think I got him to 40%. Has anyone done better?

Now a bit about myself.

I'm a melee warden, have around 620 str and 520 wis, am mostly in kos fable with one of the best 1 handed KOS maces imo. I have 51% mitigation and around 30% avoidance. I have the most important spells as masters but due to me betraying so much for questing the rest of my skills are only adept 3s and of course 100 AAs melee dps based. Now I havent parsed myself in a while but I do parse between 500-900 on single triple up single mobs with a bit more on groups, all depends on what I am fightning.

So my question stands, has anyone here soloed the Nest and if you have how did you do it? :)

i did, STA/INT aa's usually meleing all except a few names, root + nuke Ftw its moderate the speed on the killing there but the end mob its really a long fight, not sure if its worth it solo that instance considering the time takes to do as warden.

Ive killed everything but the last guy ... the mele spec seems to work the best for quickest time ... But for the last guy would need to have A root/nuke spec with fT boosted as much as possible. I tried him with the mele spec and i couldnt get my roots to hold him much at all. I imagine with roots enhanced & ord/sub 400+ it might work. Never did try it when i had that spec. It wouldve taken alot longer to get to him though.

If you wanted to burn a respec on him just to say you did it .... that might work, and use some blessings miracles, screwloose bomb maybe. Or you could talk a group into letting you give it a shot solo on him... The root/nuke though , i think is about the only way you could kill him.

Or just go kill the earthlord in bonemire. Its a nice long fight, but our nuke does him double damage.

I can solo the nest also. Although sometimes the last mob comes down to chance. Everything up to the zone boss is cake. However, on the zone boss i am forced to use every power item i have (pots, vessel of fey'urn, manastone, overclocked manastone, power root, signet of replenishment, auto attack with the Essencia) I am speced wis/int and roots/ renewal (being near end game helps)

It will take power tricks. I know a warden who solos Nest regularly for plat and he definitely uses power roots, overclocked manastone, and other power-based tricks to kill the last guy. I'll tell him about this post so hopefully he'll post more details here for you. =)

I solo nest daily. Its good for farming. You get lots of fertilizer / water / bones for power roots at the very least even if you don't get a master, and hell even just vendoring the trash loot is worth 50g - 1plat per run. Anyways, as stated by the others, the zone is pretty much a cake walk up until the Chamberlain, at which it becomes a beast zone. The Chamberlain is by no means an easy fight. I am spec Str (4 4 8 7 1) Agi (6 4 4 8 1) and I am spec melee and movment in the warden tree. Root and nuke? LOL Thats the wussy fury way to do it. I just don't suck and man up and tank the SOB till hes dead. He does require a lot of power tricks however. When I first started doing him it took several roots and about everything I have, but now adays I got it down to an art. The Chamberlain takes one charge of overclocked manastone, one signet of replenishment, and one 22% power root for me. Those are the big tricks I use. I of course always tap the quested manastone and spiritise censor every time they are up and hit the Flowing Vessel of Fyr Un once in the fight. I use the Soulfire Hammer / Buckler of the Howler and the Soulfire is adorned with +40 to heals. There is no luck involved for me and its about a 5-7 minute fight. I will kill him every time without dying once in the entire zone. I don't really have any tricks or advice to tell you. I have a good mix of KOS and EOF fabled, but most of my melee gear is KOS. I've got about a 52% mit and 33% avoidance in my melee gear. Basically, heal hard, auto attack (NATURAL BOON FTMFW), and bring any power trick you have, and most importantly. Dont suck. Larry

Quellious miracle is good for 50% power or so. We have yet to test whether or not it can be activated while using HG. If it can that could easily resolve your power issue.

I have yet to win the fight but I have gotten him down to 9% on multiple occasions, I just run out of power. Still, I haven't been using the signant or the overclocked manastone as I am not a tinkerer, but if you are that would be a massive boon to the fight. There is one bit of gear that I highly recommend though, the Crown of enlightenment out of SoS... leather head piece that has a 7 second stun when hit at 7% chance... really really helpful.Dallun / Fione70 Warden / 70 IllusionistAntonia Bayle
